Dimensions issue - need LCD TV that's not too tall
It may sound odd, but I have an issue over which TV I can buy as it fits into a built-in cupboard.
When we first had it built, 32" was about the biggest screen TVs you could get. I want to go up in size to a 37", but the height restriction of the enclosure means that I only have around 60 cms from top to bottom to play with. I have scoured the 'net and various stores for 37" TVs of this height, but they are all a few cms taller with their table stands attached - they would be fine without a stand but they will not be stable, or even stand up straight, without one. I'd be grateful if anyone who has had a similar problem, or who has an LCD TV of 37" or more that would fit my height requirements could help me out here. Many thanks in advance. |

Well if it were me I would just get the TV and a few strips of wood. Glue a few strips infront of the TV to stop it moving forwards and then screw a couple more in behind to lock it in place.
Or do it as above but that may look odd sitting so deep in the unit. |

Thanks both, but this assumes a modicum of DIY ability - sadly I have none!
