The show is situated in a theme park, so is more of a family audience. Only once did I see some people who started to boo at an eviction and Gretal (the previous host) soon stopped them and put them in their place.
I wish our rent-a-mob were nicer, as some evictions make me feel sick to my stomach. You would have thought the evicted housemate had been killing cute puppies on screen, rather than just living in a house on a tv show, attempting to entertain us. |

The audience is certainly more positive in the ozzy version. I've certainly never heard anyone get booed myself. Not that I think it is better that way, as awful as the UK audience are (and they truly are the most appalling bunch of scrotes you would ever have the misfortune to meet), the Ozzy crowd is just a load of families. It reminds me of a Gladiators audience, a really uninspiring and sterile bunch.

I certainly think that the crowd their is much nicer than ours. I think it's great that they cheer all evictees and I hate our crowd booing everyone.

Yup for sure, and I love it. I often see UK BB fans say 'but some people deserve booing, it's part of the fun!!!' - but in Aus BB a persons popularity can be gauged by how much they are cheered - it's the same thing - just far more positive, someone unpopular will come out to some cheers and clapping, someone who is adored will come out to hysterics and chants etc.

I love the way its more of a family experience, even getting kids dressed up as ninjas and stuff.
The atmosphere is better and the crowd is very big compared to ours. |

BB is a panto, and it's entirely appropriate to boo and hiss the "villains."

The idea that its panto has pretty much been shot down in flames when viewers saw that 90% of the hms were booed, isint a panto supposed to have 1 villain..not the entire cast. |

When you actually go to a BBAUS eviction you are told to cheer and prizes are given out the the audience members who cheer the best and provide appropriate sound effects (eg. laughing at the right moment, saying 'awww' or wolf whistlng). Mike Goldman talks to the audience about what they should do during the ad breaks. When I was there he came up to me and chastised me because I chose to just sit and watch rather than screaming, jumping on my chair etc.

Well since they're actual human beings (or nearly so) there will be some people who hate them and some who love them. Certainly many got receptions that were more positive than negative.
Even CHJ,Jade got booed and she was nice. The mob that go to UK evictions are just morons..a few get good receptions ( averages out around 3 per season ) a few get a mix,but most get booed heavily. Think back to BB3 when everyone was shocked because of the boos for Adele..it was a rare occurance, now its become tradition to boo and since BB7 chant as well. Sam BB6 had something thrown at her by the chav crowd,i believe a few other have had things thrown at them as well. Aussie have the right idea, celebrate the fact that the hms have entertained us..even the villains entertain us. |

I was surprised the other night when 'Party Boy' Corey went into the house and the audience really booed him!
I think that is one of the firat times I have heard major booing from the Aus audience! |

Same, I have seen some mild booing before...was it Darren from last year or the year before who got a bit of a bad reception? but that's the first time I have seen proper boos.
