Does anyone know if there will be a move 2 a new bb house in Epsom, Surrey, as reported on DS:BB or will they stay where they are nxt year?

I think they should move b'caus the whole stairs idea wasnt working they need 2 go bak 2 a house like the one in Bow, series 1 + 2, with the side door, walkway, bridge then the studio, also bak 2 the gd old eviction music.

If it is moved hopefully it will solve the problem of the noice with neighbours and The Sun going round the bak and shouting at the HM's.

Any1 hav any info on this?

As I have posted previously, I am pretty damned sure that the new house won't be in Epsom. I did check with an ex-local councillor who assured me that there is no land, such as that pictured in the DS article, outside of the greenbelt, and the greenbelt area cannot be built on (legally).

Seems to be all rumour and conjecture at this stage. We've certainly heard nothing from C4 and Endemol on this subject.

The music will always keep changing I doubt very much they'll go back to the first theme. Paul Oakenfold used to be a trance 4/4 man, but after his Swordfish soundtrack (around then anyway) he started going with more of a breakbeat trance sound, and he reflected that with the BB2 and BB3 mixes. With the BB4 its very hard to classify because theres so much filtering and f/x that there is no bassline in it. Personally I think the BB1 theme was much better than the others that followed, but now I'm just showing how obsessed with music I am, must stop talking!!

Greenbelt can be built on legally and often is.

I can't see them moving house again, to be honest. They wouldn't plough in a load of money for a brand new house and only use it for two shows. The only reason they had to move from the first site was because they had to give the land back.

Aren't they going to build it on Orkney ?

Yes, of course. Perhaps I wasn't clear - no greenbelt in Epsom that resembles the land in the pictures can be built on legally, according to the councillor.

Big Brother House, Elstree Film Studio's, Shenley road, Borehamwood has planning permission to be used as a temporary dwelling for television production until 31st January 2006.

IF they stay where they are, they might just knock down/drastically alter the current house anyway, so it's as good as a new location.

I thought the idea of relocating was to find an area that wasn't quite so 'residential' as Borehamwood? No matter how they changed the house, they'd still be a fair bit of noise emanating from the studio on eviction nights.

As an idea for the next BB try putting 'em all in a big circus tent -- cubicles for each HM -- EVERYTHING inside the Big Top. Trapeze equipment, clown gear a must, Big Top music -- it would be something else.!! The odd wild animal -- there's no end to the ideas one could think up. Michael tjr. ps A troop of monkeys could steal the show !! pps On second thoughts throw out the HM'S and keep the monkeys !!!

Ah, well if that IS the reason for relocation then I guess they will. Is it REALLY that close to other houses, though? I don't see what the big deal is anyway, it's only one a week for 9 weeks, and not TOO late at night.

They are quite close to a housing area which is not so gd 4 ch4 as newspapers find it very easy 2 shout into the complex 4rm outside it and ch4 cannot stop newspapers 4rm wlking up a normal road easily.

I've been to both previous BB houses and the Borehamwood house is more secure, although the Bow house was, IIRC, in a slightly less residential setting. I can't imagine them moving the house.. it's not just the house that would have to be rebuilt, but the studio too, of course. Plus they'd have to accommodate the eviction crowds.

Big Brother House

This is a pic of the area where the BB house is, b4 the house was built, it is situated beside the huge white building, the George Lucus Stage, where BB and BBLB are filmed.

You can see the streets behind it, but i can still imagine security would be tighter especially if everyone is so close.

I know some of the nighbours who live locally who have complained! Their main issue is the noise, which doesn't really exist except for friday evenings, but these people get money from endemol and have tickets for every eviction. I live about 5 mins from the house and i do know how much business it has brought to the borehamwood area and i believe it would be a shame for it to go! as do around 29,950 other residents out of the 30,000 or so in borehamwood!

That's interesting and would explain the general disinterest that the crowd had for the eviction of Jon & Fed. I stood in the queue for some time *after* the first evcition of the evening had been announced (Fed), yet not one person nearby in the queue knew or cared to know who's name had been read out. I expected the news to gradually creep up the line of people standing outside.. but nothing! It was quite surreal!

It also makes me wonder whether these same people are the ones that insist on booing the evicted housemates. I think it's fair to say that the booing has gotten worse since the move to Borehamwood. Just a thought..

I am an avid fan of big brother and live local but wasn't able to get tickets and i finally got some on the thursday b4 the finale show! The problem with the neighbouring roads around the house is they are very upmarket homes, which i believe from friends reports are losing money on their properties! Although i'd pay more to see the house! But what do they expect moving 100m from the studios, of course you will get some noise!

As Far As I Can Understand Richard Grove, Head of P&T, Hertsmere Borough Council has recieved complains and the endemol contract does have clauses in which may be used in the circumstances such as local residents issues!

Unfortunately in the PC world we live in today it only takes 10 or so people to complain for it to be a big issue.

The house does need serious reinvention to gain the charcater that the first house had with the canal and bridge and this could be done at Elstree yet a more secluded area would be beneficial.

The reason why music isnt played this year was because of complaints last year. STUPID STUCK UP PONCES!

Does anyone have any idea of where I can hear the mixs and see for myself?
Please, I'm desperate.

Was that the only reason didn't they decide that they neede dan new location as the only had a certain limit of space that they have and BB was simply going over the top in that place with the crowds getting larger. Plus they had to give the land back. Is it me or wasn't it a gamble to hire the site for two years rather than one.
