i think it was a huge gamble concidering there was really nothing at that time 2 judge it by and it would b hard 2 know if the public would latch onto it, bt i suppose it payed off in the end, i think now they would look bak and think how they should hav asked 4 longer 2 begin with.

It sayed in a chat trnscipt on ch4 website that the team were very happy with the site at Bow, but they HAD 2 move

I think its a shame because bow was a very gd location and the house was a lot better in the first 2 series i think

QUOTE]Big Brother House, Elstree Film Studio's, Shenley road, Borehamwood has planning permission to be used as a temporary dwelling for television production until 31st January 2006. [/quote]

If the application 4 ellstree isnt extended than there will HAVE 2 b a new house if the series is 2 do more than BB6[

Was that the only reason didn't they decide that they neede dan new location as the only had a certain limit of space that they have and BB was simply going over the top in that place with the crowds getting larger. Plus they had to give the land back. Is it me or wasn't it a gamble to hire the site for two years rather than one. ”

The Planning permission from the council ran out and that is why they had to move

Does anyone know if there will be a move 2 a new bb house in Epsom, Surrey, as reported on DS:BB or will they stay where they are nxt year?
”

Anywhere away from this years location would suite me.

We don't want another journalist/idiot shouting outside info over the garden/fence.

If its the same location next year, they might aswell just lock them in a residential bungalow for 64 days. and bolt up the doors.

This location would do it:

http://www.system-override.com/kelve...h/mainpage.htm

An old Nuclear bunker- more claustraphobic, No interference from press, and a huge long exit tunnel for the evictees to run down.

perfect.

Then george would hit the button and the hm are the new founders of humanity

I prefered the Bow house to the Elstree house, maybe because it was more realistic. I mean, you don't excactly see a house of today with stairs to go up just to get inside do you?

Yeah Just Imagine

"Day 23. Following the nuclear destruction of London, the housemates task this week is to arrange distributions of food stocks to survivors. They have 200 Tons of Butter, and 500 tons of Flour in the stores but no alchol. Jon is busy trying to calculate the fall out across the region, whilst tania and Fed man the radio station, keeping survivors spirits high with a diet of vera lynn records and tommy cooper radio shows....."

Does anyone have any idea of where I can hear the mixs and see for myself?
Please, I'm desperate.

Well the tune was called "Element Four - Big Brother Theme" for the first year because I remember buying it on cassette!!

It's by Andy Gray & Paul Oakenfold. There are various remixes available, I suppose this includes the various yearly remixes.

First off I'd try a P2P mp3 program like WinMx or soulseek, not that I would condone any form of piracy.

Other than that you check out Amazon, or just search around on Google you might get lucky.

Maybe not, but the current house is better at preventing other housemates looking out of the door like they did in 1 and 2

Plus it gives the evictee a chance to look out across the croud and feel big.

A new house with stairs to the front door has been built in our village. It's really weird because the way it's built you can't actually see the stairs from a distance and it just looks like the worlds largest doorstep.

I preferred the old house - it's distance from the crowd gave the apperance of isolation - this one doesn't. I also think it looked better in CBB2 when they used the walkway at the side of the house instead of the stairs.

However, I imagine it's better for the eviction crowds at Elstree as they can see the housemate leaving. I imagine you didn't see the evicted housemate at Bow until they crossed the bridge.

Hopefully BB will move next year, but reports on http://www.thisislondon.co.uk from BB officials say they will be at Elstree next year. I doubt BB bosses would consider moving until their contract is extended.

So if they stay put, I'm sure the inside will be revamped slightly, but I think they could do with changing the outside - maybe cladding it in wood to make it appear as a log cabin.

It's amazing how in BB2 the house appeared to be brand new when it had exactly the same layout as BB1 except for a bigger bathroom and alot of added wood.

Eviction Music
This was actually only used in series 2. In the first series they just used repetitive beeps that sounded like a car alarm, and while it was missed in series 3 especially, it would probably be drowned out by the crowd.

The USA BB House is a real house in L.A & Is valued at approx 13 million dollars, somehow I don't think that if Ch4 are looking for a new location their budget would stretch that far.

When you say eviction music... wasn't it songs? I'm sure I remember 'stand by your man' for helen and black beauty for elizabeth... very random, must dig out the old tapes and check!

What they need is the good ole big bro one tune pumping loud, in and out of the house, that would liven them up!

And yes, big bro say they are saying...

Channel 4 has signed a deal to use Elstree Film and Television Studios to stage the Endemol UK production for another two years and Big Brother 5 will "definitely" be returning to Borehamwood next year.

From the Borehamwood Times no less!

Yep - that's what I mean. I agree the Big Brother theme would be better as the tunes were never quite right (I know for the final 4 they were chosen via the website poll/competitions).

I'm thinking that a good location would be Cheshire. There's lots of rural areas and a canal (For a Bow style house) it would be perfect with a capital P Plus we need a good mix of Scousers, Geordies, Mancunians, Tykes, Northerners, not just Londoners.

I loved the house and location in Bow. They did an amazing job making it upmarket for BB2 after BB1. The walkway and the eviction songs, unique for each HM, were much better than the current eviction procedure IMO. i hate those damn stairs... remember the excitment as HMs borke the rules and jumped and waved out the door in Bow on eviction night?

Even though the house was ina m ore urban area, the Bow house felt more isolated from the outside world.

I agree. I think Endemol should build a house like Bow so we can get a more.....'housey' feeling
