Oasis - Wonderwall
Girls Aloud - Life Got Cold Am I the only one who thought there was something very similar between these songs? The Beatles-anything from 1966 onwards. Oasis-take your pic-even down to the Lennon shades. |

Led Zeppelin "Stairway to Heaven" sounds like:
Joanna Newsom, "Kingfisher". And Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower". sounds like: Can "Outside my Door". |

Wonderwall, Boulevard of Broken Dreams and Writing to Reach You are all uncannily similair (WTRY nicked the chords of WW), so one huge mash up was made, calledthe Wonderwall of Broken Songs. It's pretty incredible, check it out:

Duffy's Mercy after the "yeh yeh yeh"s starts rather like Armand Van Halden's You Don't Know Me.
Pixie Lott's Mama Do sounds a bit like Kim Wilde's Love Blonde |

Being doing the rounds for a while that, I've got it called Boulevard of Broken Songs. I do giggle when Aerosmith on it are credited as Eminem.

It don't so much anymore, but the first time I heard Mr Brightside I remember thinking that the chorus was very much like the 'Gravity, no escaping gravity' part of Special K by Placebo.

Texas's 'Once In A Lifetime' seemed like a pretty brazen reworking of TLC's 'Creep'.
I remember a radio DJ commenting on the time that there was no official sample, so he was surprised that TLC didn't sue as it is a blatant replica of the chorus.

I know it often happens but the guitar riffs on "Jethro Tull - Locomotive Breath" (Once you get passed the piano intro) & "Pink - U & Ur Hand".
I thought Pink had covered the Tull track when I first heard it. However both great songs though. UB |

I'm not getting at JJ, really. I'm a big fan and love most of his music. I think sometimes he lets his influences remain obvious, intentionally. I've heard him play Pachelbel's canon as an intro to Hometown. |
