....And there I was thinking that after all the beeb staff had be trained in telling the truth , after all the revelations about fixing things , IDA might actually be reliant on the phone votes ( How naive of me ) ....... then out of the Lord's mouth came this little gem....

" I'm glad I'm not the producer because I couldn't choose "

Pardon me ??????????

Errrr , what about the public vote ?

Oh dear , first Maria , then Any Dream..... not another fix surely ?

No, I think he meant the producer of the show as in "Oliver" in the West End, not the BBC IDA thing. I do'nt think he meant anything sinister about it but I do love a conspiracy theory

I too took him to mean the producer of Oliver as in Cam Mack rather than a produced at the BBC. I presumed that Cam has given his favs so ALw is narrowing them down so that the favs are in the top two in the end.

Yes that's what I took it to mean too. It also confirmed to me that Cam Mack has probably had a lot more to do with the sing-off decisions than ALW (ie. it's not based on who performs the sing-off better, but who they want to get rid of when they can )

When ALW says that he is 'taking the panel's views into account' when making a choice, he is clearly referring to Cam Mack.

It was an interesting slip of the tongue though. Unless he wanted it emphasised in some small way that it isn't all his doing...

oh my... it's no secret that the producers can choose. it is written in very small print on the rules of the show. (so reported) check the bbc site of oliver.

Hmm, could be right there... although, how could ones who they obviously dont like get so far (i'm thinking Andrew obviously doesnt like Ashley but he saved her, unless CamMak likes her?)

But then again I have a conspiricy theory on why he saved her...

Exactly.................

But , the gullible public still keep wasting their money phoning in.

Some of 'em even believe the results show actually takes place tonight

These shows are simply elimination processes for the titilation of the public .

Chose your lead artist , then add camera fodder and eliminate week by week . The "winner" is never in any danger and with a bit of luck , a couple of decent performers may be found in the process.

Time for a full enquiry..............and for the amount given to charity to be tallied to the alledged number of calls received !

I have a feeling there might be an imbalance somewhere along the line
