I can imagine a final 4 being interesting.

There's still a designing a perfume task to come - so either that will be the large scale finale, or it'll replace the interviews.

If Lee gets to the semi final, then he could suffer the same fate as Paul Tulip - and be fired because SAS doesn't know much about him due to a lack of boardroom appearances. However I can imagine Sir Alan liking him.

Although is it confirmed that his team win the car task?


Alex is the one I find most difficult to place, just about every spoiler has had him reaching the end, but last week when Sir Alan questioned him always being on the losing side made me think he wants rid of him.



Although come to think of it If 5 go to the interviews (if they happen) and 4 progress to the final, then there's still that rumour about someone walking out which could explain SAS only getting rid of 1.

Yes, it would, and I like the idea of them picking one person to work with them. They could stand or fall on the choice of candidate they make. Whoever gets Simon, for example, would be in a stronger position than someone that picks Kevin!


Perhaps that is replacing the interview stage? It would kind of make sense. How many weeks do we have left now? Four including this week?

Don't think so, I know Lucinda's team (of which Lee is part) win this weeks task, but I don't think we know about the car task yet.


I'm not convinced SAS is keen either. People have read a lot in to Nick's comments about Alex being 'nobodies fool' but that isn't necessarily a compliment.


But SAS wouldn't know in advance someone was going to walk, would he? I presume if four make it through to the final and one decides to walk, it'll be incorporated into the final.

I was thinking along the lines that in Week 11 (whatever the task may be) SAS can't choose between the 5, has no idea who to get rid of, however someone quits giving him 4 finalists and he decides to leave it at that?

I thought I read that the one who walked did it whilst working for SAS's company during the time filming neded and the series started. So he wouldn't have know at the semi - finals that someone was going to quit.

No I think that is correct. All the finalists would work for SAS for some months before the final, and I believe that is when one of them pulled out. I'd say that if the Mirror story is accurate, while four make it to the final, only three of them actively take part in it.

The Mirror printed an almost identical story last year which obviously turned out to be untrue.

There is a big hint though that there could be 3 in the finale - I think perhaps the biggest argument for this was found on Shazia's website. When it first launched, the meta contained the following terms: "Apprentice finals", "Alex Wotherspoon", "Lee McQueen" and "Helene Speight" - make of that what you will.

The problem with that theory is that it means that four candidates have to be fired in the coming three weeks, with no interview week. It actually makes more sense for there to be four in the final.

I don't find the meta's on Shazia's site to be very revealing necessarily. Time will tell I guess.

If there is a final 4, ideally I'd like Raef, Lucinda, Lee and Claire (it'll never happen though!)

I don't really like Lee or Claire much, but Lee (demented whooping and attack on Sara aside) isn't as bad as most of the others, and I must confess to having a sneaking respect for Claire in a way - she is very tenacious even if not in a likeable way.

Best not to get your hopes up though, as you say, because the rumours will really start to flow the next week or two....

There was a thread on this forum saying who finishes where in the show. Even though that turned out to be wrong , it knew that two women would be fired in Week 7 three weeks before it happened so it must have some insider knowledge and it said that there would be four in the final

IMO Lucinda is quite likely to make the top 4

Yeah, I was musing on that too...that thread was quite wrong in regard to WHO was fired, but there has been some truth to it. It may confirm that there are 4 in the final.

I think Lee could be fired in the car tast tbh if his team lose.

Plenty of candidates that have looked to be doing well have suddenly been fired. Look at Simon - he was the best candidate the first few weeks, then one dodgy week and he was gone....

I didn't think he looked very good in the first few weeks, after watched previous series I had a feeling he would be going as soon as he did cos he's just so loud and opinionated.
