Panasonic ex75 error code.
My panasonic ex75 occasionally displays U80 in the lcd window. Is this an error code and if so should I be concerned. The machine seems to work ok, it only occurs if the machine has been left on and not put into standby after use.

Yes this is an error code, I work for a TV retailer and book in quite a few Panasonic DVD recorders with various error codes with U... The most common problem is the RAM drives going wrong. Andy |

Ignore it unless you are having specific problems. It can be a spurious fault code thrown up by specific receiving conditions You may have an early software version which could not deal with this. The U80 error has quite a history. It appeared as a problem in certain parts of Scotland and was caused by some aerials picking up too many channels on Mux A [ It cannot cope with more than 30 ] In many cases, it is a faulty error report, in other words the report itself is the fault... when there is actually no fault at all. Usually it is best to reset and ignore unless it happens too often as to be intrusive. |
