totally agree! I particularly find the comments about accents annoying - if they can't act and do the accent required for the role (if indeed they do want a cockney accent for the role) then they shouldn't be there in the first place!

I agree - unfortunately a few can't sort their accents out and can't act!

makes you wonder how they got through to the last 12 of a singing and acting role......if they cant act........or sing in tune..........hmmmm

But some truly can't seem to act or sing in tune - i don't understand how the judges seem to ignore it!

I'm going to make a sweeping assumption here and say that the panel aren't that worried about inablitity to maintain a cockney accent and lack of experience in life etc, because whoever does win is going to have far longer than Lee or Connie had before they are required to make their stage debut. There is going to be almost six months in which Jessie... I mean, whoever wins, will be able to flaten out her idiosyncrasies and hopefully do an amazing job of portraying Nancy. I doubt very much if Cameron Macintosh will let anyone get away with doing a half-arsed job.
