What a fantastic performance by both girls. They really showed how the likes of the 'chosen ones' and hyped singers how to perform.
Congratulations! I'm sorry Sarah has gone, but on that performance, she will surely be cast in another role soon.

I have to agree with you actually that the performance of the series was that sing off. I even liked Rachel in it. But I am so upset that Sarah has gone. I wish her all the best in the future, she has a lot of loyal fans now, and I'm sure she will do well

Yeah....Its up there in the top 3. I think Sarahs ALAHNM was the best yet too!!

I'm a big fan of Sarah and not keen on Rachel but they were both fantastic in the singoff... really amazing and professional. On that performance alone it would have been an impossible decision.

I completely agree with you. I like Sarah but I'm not a major fan, and I actually dislike Rachel. But the sing off tonight reduced me to tears, the first time I have cried in this show. Both girls were putting everything they had into that song, and you could really tell neither of them wanted to go home. Obviously none of the Nancys do, but this is the first sing off I've seen that was just full of emotion. Just amazing.

I like both Rachel and Sarah. I am sorry to see Sarah go. One of the best in the competition gone in my view.

She will get work no doubt about that. Perhaps JB will put her on to his agent as he did with Daniel Boys last year. Hasn't done Daniel any harm.

Thank you for reading my mind and putting my thoughts in a post. Saved me the bother...

Sing off was great and Sarah was good in it, but why was her exit so poor?

yes I was expecting a huge emotional exit song from Sarah but it didn't quite do it for me - maybe she was all emotioned out from the sing off - which was fantastic.

Agree with everyone, fantastic sing off and definately one of the best performances of the series. Although for me, the best sing off was Ashley/Fran but that's probs cause my fav was Fran

It was an amazing sing off. Both girls looked so upset when they were told that they were in the bottom two. However, it shows how training and experience can help as they both managed to pull themselves together, channel their emotions and deliver an outstanding performance. I'm not sure that many of those remaining could deliver a song as well as that.

IMO both should still be in the competition and someone else had a lucky escape this weekend.

Exactly, I honestly thought I was going to be blown away ... but not even close.

I think Sarah knew from the minute it was Rachel in the singoff with her that she was going home. But I agree, the sing off (and following ALAHNM) were simply outstanding. I even liked Rachel's voice (for the first time ever).

I was crying an embarrassing amount throughout the sing off, and not just because I knew my favourite was going home. It was so emotionally charged.

The thing that irked me was that ALW didn't seem that annoyed by the result... and yet he threw a strop when two of he weaker performers were in the singoff last week...wtf?!

Nice to see everyone acknowledging Keisha's awesomeness only after it was too late.

I told you she was fabulous!

edit: Oops. Meant this for the results show thread - but it fits here too, I suppose.

This was a very emotional sing off - but I still think Fran's was the best and her ALAHNM is still the most gut wrenching for me.

How arrogant to tell me what I was thinking. If you look back over the weeks, I've said some very nice things about Sarah, I've just gone off her - sorry you don't like my opinion, but you really don't have to follow me through every thread and insult me personally - especially if you want to get away with calling people trolls without looking like a hypocrite - there was a distinct whiff of billygoat and under-bridgeyness to that bitter post

Although, bridges can smell quite nice ...

Yea, I was totally expecting him to say something ... but then maybe he just didn't like Sarah as much as some of the others (I mean he loves Naimh and says nice things to Sam, and I don't really get that). it seems obvious he likes Rachel a bit - but it won't keep her in for long if she's as unpopular generally as she is here.

It wasn't just the fact that he seemed rather okay with sending Sarah home, but he seemed completely fine with Rachel being there too. Now I'm not her biggest fan but I rather think she's a favourite of the panel... maybe I was wrong.
