Yes, his reaction was a bit confusing but maybe he was just toning it down a bit after last week's strop.

I also think that although Rachel was his initial safe bet in case one of the younger ones don't win, he seems to have warmed to Jodie. He was raving about Jodie on his blog after "Send in the Clowns" and she has been a consistently good performer who also seems very popular. Maybe he is now happy with either Rachel or Jodie as his alternate to a youngster.

Who knows how the Lord's mind really works? Not me.
