The last time I cried during reality TV was when Will bet Gareth on Pop Idol. I was 12. But jeezo, even though I knew Sarah was going (*spoiler-slut*) I was in tears throughout that singoff. I actually teared up when she was performing with the Olivers. It made ALW's decision really difficult to understand. At least she got a wee moment of glory before it all came to an end.

Best ALAHNM of the competition so far. Her voice is just amazing.

And I suppose I better add some bitterness- Lord Webber, at least TRY and look a bit remorseful. Keisha leaves and you storm off in a rage. The best singer in the competition leaves and you can't even offer her a "I know you'll go far" like you gave... everyone else.

Well you maybe bitter, but if you didn't vote then what do you expect. The only person who (in my opinion) is guarnteed a place in the final is jessie, everyone else needs people to vote (including jodie )

I'm not gloating, i would have prefered it if Niamh had gone tonight, i was just pointing out the fact that sarah was in the bottom two because people didn't vote for her (as much as they had for the other contestants). People probably assumed that sarah was safe for another couple of weeks (i know i had done.) And if you thought about it, its obvious who ALW wants to win (Jessie) so he was going to take his chance to get rid of one of her biggest competitors for the role. If you didn't want sarah to go then you should have voted to keep her, if you didn't vote we then you can't complain about her being booted out

ps. if you did vote then you have every right to feel bitter

What a farce this show is becoming. Talent seems irrelevant to The Lord's pet fancies and poppets (ie. Samantha) whom, it would seem, can do no wrong on medicore performances and yet someone with Sarah's astonishingly beautiful voice and presence has had mediocre to 'good' comments from the start. It was a total travesty her going tonight, not just being in the bottom two, but losing out to Rachel.

Sarah shouldn't have gone. She shouldn't have even been in the Bottom 2. She was completely stitched up with that song she got.

I cried throughout that sing off, and then cried a bit more when she left. I almost made it a year without crying about a result on a Reality TV programme.

But it was lovely to see Sarah sing with the Olivers before she left, it was clear they all love her!

Just had a friend phone me as she knows I watch the show. She is a very level-headed, intelligent lady, who was (i think) almost in tears at the outrage of Sarah going! I know conspiracy theories abound, but this dismissal takes the biscuit. On so many levels............. Oh no, Casper, I think the ................. are catching.

Life is just a series of disappointments with occasional unconsumated false hope.

Sarah wasn't my favourite for the role, but I'm joining this thread because I am (almost) as bitter and angry about this travesty of a decision as you are.

As LaLaLaur pointed out, ALW didn't even have the common decency to be NICE about his decision, when Sarah is niceness personified. I thought she was incredibly dignified about it all. A true professional.

It makes me even more angry as she was up against my least favourite contestant. Grrrr!

Sarah had one of the most consistent voices in the competition
even more Rachel- (who has been hitting many duff notes- yet the panel gloss over it!)

I wish ALW had been annoyed about it!

But it was an AMAZING sing off!

IMHO- Sarah will certainly find herself on a west-end stage... as Maria maybe....?

I had to tape the show so I've only just seen it. What an utter travesty - even if Sarah wasn't really suited to the part (I admit), there's just no way that she deserved to go before.... some-people-whose-names-won't-be-mentioned.

The only consoling thing is that the boys chose Sarah as their favourite - that alone speaks volumes. They clearly have good taste without bias shrouding their eyes.

If it weren't for the Olivers I think I'll stop watching right now.

Poor Sarah. The biggest talent there and gone so soon. Oh well I can see a bright future for her in other productions

Although Sarah was my favourite, I didn't actually believe she would win, however I did vote for her twice, although on the first attempt it was engaged, I persevered.

I am surprised she came in the bottom two and that even thought that ALW would take the boys views to mind and not throw her out!!
