This isn't meant to be "well i think she's a bitch" thread, but I'm interested in who we think gets on well, who we like the personality of etc, because I'm sure it influences our votes in some capacity.

Personally I'd go for Sarah and Niamh as the nicest girls in the competition - both seem sweet as sugar, so friendly to everyone and Niamh particularly seem to be hugely upset every time someone leaves!

Sam & Sarah seem to get on very well to me - as do Ashley and Jodie (from the video's on the website!)

What are your opinions on the rest of the girls?

Sarah definitely stood out as the nicest girl in the competition. Friendly to all of the other Nancys, great with the Olivers, and left so gracefully tonight. I also agree that Niamh seems to always be the one that rushes straight up to the person that's been eliminated and always seems upset, so I'd agree with you and say these two seem the friendliest. Ashley seems nice as well, I remember one of the Olivers saying she was the funniest and she does seem to have a friendly personality, but I'm not a fan of her personally. They all seem like really nice girls actually, only one that seems a bit 'off' to me is Rachel.

I was always endeered to Sarah. I think she came across as genuinely lovely- and from interviews with the other girls I'd say it was a fair assumption to make.

I think Jodie and Ashley would be genuinely hillarious to be around.

And the younger girls all seem quite sweet- but I don't think they're old enough to have the confidence in themselves that the other girls do.

The rowing task VT last week totally put me off Rachel, but something one of the Olivers said actually makes me think she's maybe just shy And perhaps I mistook determination for arrogance. Still it was quite unflattering, but I'm not giving up hope. I want to like her, I really do! I just haven't been able to warm to her yet...

It seems like there are/were three "groups" within the house - Naimh, Sam (Sarah and Fran too); Jessie and Rachel; Jodie and Ashley. But I don't think it's a cliquey thing- they all seem to get on really well (from what we're shown on VTs).

Francesca has indicated that she and Tara were especially friendly; she also seemed very fond of Sarah and Sam.

There was a radio interview with Sam posted somewhere on here where Sam had high praise for Francesca as a person.

I love watching their clips on the Oliver BBC website where they're playing with sock puppets or throwing a toga party with Jessie. So funny! It looks like they enjoy having fun together in the Nancy house. These ladies may be in for the musical theatre but they could pull off a wonderful comedy routine as well!

I think these ones may get along better.

I was wondering actually about the other houses as well. I wondered with this if the girls really secretly are jealous of Rachel, as it was apparent with hdysaplm that Connie was the chosen one, and the boys seemed to know Lee had already thought he won. (well from the drama class clip with JB)

I think Sarah's smileyness made it impossible to think of her as anything but sweet.

But in general, I think it's disastrously bad judgement to assume someone's character from such a slim glimpse. People here seem to read a lot of stuff into nothing at all.

absolutely. people are human, and editing is key.

i was only basically talking about human feelings, it would only be natural for people to feel jealousy toward an apparent front runner.

I don't know if you can ever tell much about people from brief glimpses on anything. I was addicted to the live feed of Fame Academy, and I think it gave much more insight into the contestants, as you saw so much more of their interaction. In the first series I was genuinely astonished by how well they seemed to get on together - indeed they had to be given a kick up the rear now and again to remind them that they were trying to beat each other! The second series was a different kettle of fish.

The Marias, Josephs, Nancys and Olivers appear to get on well together, but we can't tell that much from the short glimpses we get of them.

Rachel definitely comes across as the least likeable, but maybe she is actually more honest than some of the others. As for Ashley - I'm starting to see an arrogance in her attitude to getting through rather than a fighting spirit. I know she's had harsh comments, but lately she has begun to deserve them. Her last two performances have been dire.

Give the girl a break, she is the only one what shows real emotion........she is glad and relieved the GBP put her through..........thats not arrogance its relief....

One of the josephs told Lee that "it bugs me that you've think you've won" that was a real emotion, and do believe that would be cause for some tension, but yeah we don't live there so it would be hard to judge. i just think what it is like when i live with friends for a week in a cabin and we can get catty, so if it is strangers in a competition i can only imagine it isn't all peaches and cream.

It's natural to get impressions off of people from body language, but I wish people wouldn't be so sure of themselves when being judgemental about such things. I have much less of a problem connecting to Ashley and Rachel because I don't assume that emotions like these, and I really don't think it helps them that they might not be coming across well.

The same was true of Ben last year - the poor dear didn't do anything wrong, but he was labeled as much more arrogant than anyone else right from the very start, just because of facial expressions (which are rarely a good indicator of a personality).

You undoubtedly have to have a level of self-belief and drive to really go for these things, but none of the Nancys have done anything that deserves the malicious things that people pick out of the air about them.

I've seen Ashley, Jessie, Rachel and Jodie all being accused of various things that are truly dreadful - the poor girls haven't done anything, I wish people wouldn't assume that they can interpret a person from a camera shot.

I agree that how somebody seems personality wise prob does influence alot of people in how they vote - but it really shouldn't! That makes no difference to their talent or lack of, or their suitablility to play the role.

I'm sensing a lot more genuine friendship and solidarity between this lot.

I think, in ADWD, the boys had their moments. Lewis and Daniel seemed quite close. Lee got on well with Ben and Craig. However, once Ben left the competition and it was just the final three, apparently the atmosphere in the house was dreadful.

This year, they seemed to have formed two groups. Sarah/Sam/Niamh/Fran were all very close. Obviously Jodie and Ash get on like a house on fire and I think Jessie and Rachel fit in here too. Not too sure about the others. However, tensions mount as the weeks go on, so it could deteriorate coming closer to the final.

its quite a false sitution to be in, staying 24/7 with the people you are competing against. But the Olivers said that the girls were all funny, but Rachel keeps herself to herself more. All different characters, too many adult femals in one house.......must be mayhem at times......lol

No matter how friendly you've been previously, by the time you get down to the final three the tension must be amazing. Plus you'd be that much more aware of the competition.

Fran seemed to get on with everyone and no one seemed to have a bad word to say about her.

I think I saw more tears when she left than anyone else.

yes I remeber Daniel saying something about them trying to catch a clip where he says he hates someone or something like that.......so the editing is very selective...

could you imagine the tears if she went now or later on? i think she is sincere and lovely and supportive.

Given the pressure cooker atmosphere and the close quarter living, I'm sure the girls are feeling very supportive of each other. No matter who wins, they all win out for the TV exposure and connections they make.

I imagine Jodie to be the 'big sis' as one of the oldest gal there (and the only mother). I think everyone probably try to get along with each other, if only because life would be unbearable if they also made enemies while trying to undergo the competition.

I think Fran was probably well likes having rewatched her exit tonight if you look when ALW evicts her there's a shot of Rachel with her hands to her mouth in an I can't believe it and that appears to be what Keisha says to her and It also appeared to be that everyone was in tears the week she left.

Love that clip by the way. Also have you heard Sams radio interview posted on one of the other threads talking about her relationship with Fran.

I wonder if the look Sarah gave when one of the panel (was it Barry?) criticised her singing may have influenced her low vote. I know we found it quite arrogant.
