These sorts of reality shows always have "sympathy votes" coming into play. And i bet all the public that are voting out of sympathy wont even bother going to see oliver in the theatre!

Hey you guys. I'm really gutted for Rachel this evening. She made me cry last night at Cabaret, I bawled my eyes out she was so good. I just can't understand the decision. I didn't get back in time for the show this evening either so I'll be watching it as soon as iplayer gets it on. I feel really sorry for her, how can the best performer from last night not be saved? That decision was so so wrong.

as a non Rachel fan at the start - I would like to say she totally turned me around and completely deserved to be in the final. Her performance yesterday moved me to tears and her ALAHNM was the best so far. I thought she fought to stay there and was gracious when she left - I just think ALW made the wrong decision. I would have paid to see her in the role and hope she gets something big soon.

you'll go far rachel!! gutted that you missed out on a role that you so blatantly deserved.... but things happen for a reason! Just can't wait to see what that reason is! It must be good!

Total travesty tonight - the sing off should have been between Jessie & Jodie. Rachel was by far the best! IMO Jessie is not Nancy by any stretch of imagination & neither is Jodie - too big & matronly by far! I will not be going to see the show!

I too was not a fan at the start, I thought she was good but she didn't quiet connect with me until a couple of weeks ago. Last night she was outstanding and I cried when she sang Cabaret and ALAHNM. So sorry to see her go. 4th place is not a bad place to go out, if you aren't going to win. She should have lots of coverage this week. Also 4th placed Aoife in HDYSAPLM went on to star as Roxie in Chicago and then the alternate Maria and Ben Ellis from ADWD is Link in Hairspray. I am sure Rachel will find something on a West End Stage soon.

She was robbed of a place in the final.As usual the public who voted were quite fickle.Look what happened to Andy Abraham,who was voted by the public to represent The UK.And what's happened to Michelle McManus and Steve Brookstein?Both were talent show winners voted by the public.

Rachel's on BBC1s breakfast news this morning sometime in the next hour.

I don't normally watch this show, but in every clip I saw, Rachel was head and shoulders above the rest, and it's just utterly bizarre that she's gone. Hopefully she'll go on to do very well anyway.
