Can anyone tell me if the viewty will only take specific micro sd cards? i have ordered a 2gb kingston one, but im worried it may not work? Also, i know the Viewty only supports upto 2gb, but could you put in an 8gb card and it still work but only allow 2gb to be used?? Thanks in advance.

Hey! the lg viewty holds a mircoSD mini card, i dnt think an 8g would actually work. it mite work but then it might only just use the 2g out of the 8g card!

that's a reasonable price.

all sd cards are the same. if they recomend certain brands they just mean not one you got from a fles markey in hong kong.

sd cards > than 2GB are SDHC cards. not all sd devices will support them.

I just bought an LG Viewty today and it doesnt come with a memory card so I'll need to buy one. After reading this thread as I understand it, it wont support an SD card over 2gb, is that correct?

I had a viewty for a while, and ordered an 8gb card for it. On installing, it was only available as 2gb, not 8gb. Don't think the viewty can cope with larger.

HTH,

Alex.

Thanks.
