Zoe seemed concerned. I know she backed Jodie above the others but she went on to worry quite a bit about her vocal stamina.

yea but she has 6 months to train and get it right......

Hey, I know nothing.
Connie didn't manage HER commitment. Although Maria is much more rigorous.

The panel are right in a way - Nancy can stand a bit of rough/ harsh etc. I'm not saying that Jodie is either of those things but, if she had a rough patch, she could carry on. I think her fans will be very disappointed if she gets a lurgy! But I wouldn't want anyone to spoil their voice.

So you admit Jodie is not perfect?

Zoe was banging on about Jodie's upper range. She doesn't seem to be very familiar with the range needed for Nancy.

Jodie didnt hold a high note long enough on one of the songs where she was standing on the bottom steps.....same time that Rachel did her emotional cracking.......

Samantha was in character from the second she stepped on stage, while Jodie only seemed to come alive when she started to sing. I love the song, and from their performances I’d say both girls did too. The different qualities of their voices — Jodie’s deeper, almost R’n’B style and Samantha’s belting top notes — complemented each other very well. In my mind, Sam delivered the better performance of the two.

Jodie tried to out-belt Sam towards the end. Big mistake

Samantha has always been a good belter......but she is a two trick pony.....dance and belt.............she needs to be able to do so much more.......like sing in tune, act, she has no emotional depth......

Im sure she will be a good pop singer.............she said that she would not turn a pop career down........

Jodie needs to sort out her higher register. Holding out for a Hero was very weak vocally. Sam would have nailed that to a standing ovation.

Hard to believe Sam is 17 and Jodie 38.

Seconded. Higher registers are irrelevant for this role. In the original score, ALAHNM only goes up as high as a Bb (they've been singing it a notch or two higher on the show, I don't know what they'll do in the production).

Ehhhhhhhh Jodie looks WAY older than 28, God she would easily pass for nearly 40, that's not a bitchy comment it's the truth.
Compare her to people in their mid 30s and she looks years older.
