LOL that was on telly a few months ago, and my sister watched it in abject horror - she couldn't take her eyes off it!

A lot has been said about Sarah's height on these threads, or rather lack of it, but Elaine Paige is tiny.

And GN as the leprechaun?

I see Jodie as either Mama Rose or Dolly Levi and Niamh as Gypsy.

As it is her height means that I don't think she could do either Mary Poppins or SOM as good as she'd be as both (I think she could have got away with it with Nancy, because although Nancy does become a mother figure to Oliver, it isn't as formal as being a Nanny, and also Fagin's gang are all boys so it's obvious who Nancy is if that makes sense).”

I have met Sarah in real life at JB concert and she is very slim- the tv and costumes didn't do her figure justice. She would be far too slim to play Tracy Turnblad. The girl that plays Tracy, Leanne Jones lost 4 and half stone in rehearsals for the part and is still quite voluptious

There are rumours on theatre boards that ALW is putting on the boys in the photograph (think this is the crying game but not sure) and there are two main female Irish parts in there . If true go figure!

That's right; ALW's musical was originally called "The Beautiful Game" and it is currently being rewritten with a happier ending. It is set in N. Ireland in 1969 when the troubles were very bad. I wonder who ALW has in mind for the female leads...?

Why is he rewriting it with a happier ending?! The current ending is painstakingly beautiful when you see how much influence 'the cause' and organisations like the IRA can have on people so much so that John is willing to give up his whole life and his wife and child to fight for the 'greater good' - I think it's tearjerking-ly (!) fantastic as it is, please don't change it!

There are three good female leads, Mary, Christine and Bernadette - so that's Niamh and Rachel (and possibly Jessie with EVEN MORE extra accent training!) sorted!

Sarah as Kathy Selden in 'Singin' In The Rain'? I think that would be perfect! If she can tapdance...
