I don't know if anyone can help me but I stoppedd watching Brookie a while back due to the scheduling constantly clashing with my job, but basically as a result I never got to see the outcome of the Anthony/Imelda story.. did he actually drown her? Or was someone else there the day she went missing as was implied a couple of times. Has it all been tied up now?

They started fighting in a pond, and Imelda fell backwards and hit her head on a rock, and never came back up...

It all (finally) got tied up in February, and the verdict was Not Guilty .

Yeah, it was.

At the end of November last year (the first Saturday only episode) Imeldas body was discovered by Marty in the pond after Anthony confessed (during the big seige storyline) that he killed Imelda.

A passer by noticed Martys strange behaviour at the pond and called the police, who then arrested Marty as he had lost his car keys in the pond, and the police found them. Just before Chirstmas, Anthony ran away from home and when he was found by the police, he confessed that it was him who killed Imelda.

Then in February, the Court Case took place and he was found not guility.

Brookside is now on Tuesdays at around 11pm BTW .

Completely OT: but when did Stu and Ali's mother die and how??

She was constantly having big rows with all of her kids, and then went out for a drive. She took her eyes of the road and then ended up crashing. (Although you didn't see the crash on screen).

We were left uncertain as to if she did it on purpose or not.
