Nando's Piri piri cooking sauce
Hiya All,
Anyone know if the big supermarkets sell the above Nanod's Piri Piri Cokking Sauce (the hot one)??? I've had it from my local Morrisons in the past but they don't have it anymore & the staff are not the most helpful! I've got the normal splash on sauce but I@m after the cooking sauce. Thanks |

I've got a bottle, can't remember whether I got it in Sainsbury's or Tesco's though.

If you have a Home Bargains near you, they sell it cheaply there.

Why don't you just buy it from Nando's?

We don't have anything like that in North Wales - I think we're gonna get a KFC, Wimpy, McDonalds one day soon!

We don't have anything like that in North Wales - I think we're gonna get a KFC, Wimpy, McDonalds one day soon! ![]() If you fancy making your own, heres the ingredients/method: 6-12 fresh red chillies, depending on how hot you want it 1 tbsp garlic, blanched and chopped 1 tsp salt flakes ½ tsp oregano ½ tbsp paprika 100ml/3½fl oz olive oil 50ml/1¾fl oz red wine vinegar To make the piri-piri sauce, preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4. Place the chillies on a roasting tray and roast them for 10 minutes. 2. Cool and roughly chop the chillies. Place the chillies, garlic, salt, oregano, paprika, olive oil and vinegar in a saucepan, and simmer for 2-3 minutes. 3. Allow the mixture to cool, then blend it to a purée in a jug blender or food processor. Store in a lidded container at room temperature; it will keep for about a month. Shake before using. |

Sainsburys sell this, got a bottle Saturday (from Whitechapel) and had this last night with some brown rice, chargrilled veggies and a chicken breast.

This isn't the marinade sauce it's specifically a cooking sauce - I love the other splash on sauce though.
it comes in a bigger jar than the usual stuff. I might try TV DUNIYA's recipie when I get a spare 20 mins |

I love the Nandos cooking sauces/marinades. You need to BBQ/griddle the meat to get the best flavour I find.

Anyone tried their Chip Sprinkle? It's great and I've also added it to mixed nuts when warming them through.

Tesco sell Nando's stuff. Our is a bit strange as they have some of it in the World Food section and some of it in the Sauces section. It would be too easy to put them all on the same shelf
