I always though maybe early thirties, but thats only guessing from the adaptions of Oliver that I've seen. I've never read the book.

Me neither and Sam is possibly too tall to be convincingly dominated by his Bill Sykes.

(p.s. Have we got a Dodger in mind yet? Hope it's that boy whose name I can't spell - starts with "K")

You mean Kwayedza, He would make a great Dodger

Erm, please explain why he would make a good child lead thief

Ooooo he definitely looks the part. I am now beginning to understand why certain actresses couldn't be Nancy. However, what this show has done is highlight further how reality programmes try to manipulate audiences into giving the judges what they want.

He has a great voice, but as it appears to be breaking so he wouldn't be right for Oliver, but could be Dodger. He is also taller than the other boys and I see Dodger to be a bit older than Oliver.
Dodger is one of my favourite character in Oliver and I think Kwayedza is very talented and I would love to see him on stage. I was obviously not being offensive, I wasn't even thinking about race when I made that comment as its not a issue for me.

Nothing sinister at all. I think a lot of us think that because of the storyline he couldn't be Oliver. However, his acting and singing performances mean that he could cope quite easily with the role of the Artful Dodger. In fact in most people believe that the Dodger is the better part.

..and he's a bit tall for Oliver, would look better as Dodger!

so are they going to have to recast Bill now?

I don't see why. I think Burn Gorman's an intense enough actor to pull it off even with Jodie as Nancy.

no way, he looks like her son or at least younger brother.

If an actor is good enough looks don't always have to be an issue.

I do hope the casting of Burn as Bill Sykes is correct ... He'll be amazing ... Makes me want to see the show even more ...

That's funny so Burn Gorman is Bill Sykes and the public have chosen the wrong Nancy, Jessie would have been the better choice now its going to look really ridiculous

I thought it was going to be Nigella Lawson redefining the role.

Why? You seriously think that Burn Gorman and Jodie are remotely compatible as a couple?

They are certainly not! This is going to be dreadfull if he's cast oppisite Jodie.

The weird thing is that i'm not sure Burn Gorman - despite being very talented - is compatible with any of the girls in the final three (i'm pretty sure that Jessie and Sam are both taller than he is!). Whoever had won this evening would have looked odd next to him IMO.

One might question the compatibility of Bill Sykes and Nancy also??

Looking at his picture he isnt my idea of Bill Sykes....
