i think they really need the regions sorting out and damn quick, otherwise folks could loose a little faith. (on my humax) i get itv cental and bbc london, no good for me at all as a consumer, and yes we have got to start thinking like the average joe that way freesat will hopefully hurry up and get things sorted cos its not us they need to please its mr and mrs average

Since launch day:
137 Zone Thriller (not 138)

Also on launch day there was no duplication of BBC regions - so if BBC1 Wales was on 101 it did not appear on 964 - but this has now changed.

E4 was not initially in EPG.

BushHD software from 6 May is 1.0.1.

Humax updated to 1.00.04 on 9 May (dated 6 May) was 1.00.03 before then.

I think that BBCi streams were there before 1 May accrording to another contributor. 900-949 may have been used but this is no longer the case it would appear.

Nothing,its user defined.
It is simply dependent on what satellite is selected and what transponder, was scanned first.
The Non-Freesat list(channel numbers)begin from 5001.

As it is not on the Freesat epg yet.
It will appear in the Non-Freesat mode, being fta,as will all the other fta channels.

I doubt Sky would add it to the Freesat EPG as they are a competitor.

I've put all the FTA news channels on non-freesat mode in the 5001+ range on my FOXSAT receiver so they are readilly available when I switch to non-freesat mode.

Why a random number such as 5001?

For a 4 digit channel number it's halfway through between 0001 and 9999.

The Freesat LCNs appear to be a 12 bit field.

That gives numbers in the range 0 to 4095, so 5001 as the start of non-Freesat numbers makes sense.

jimbo asked for a list, so here is the output of a parser I've been working on.

Strange that the four figure numbers are there. There are no strange codes to put in it would appear. If you dial in these numbers, nothing happens. So is there another secret menu we don't know about? There is obviously an English postcode that these work on, as they appear as 10001000? Someone must know how to get type 12 services in the EPG. Thanks for these - most appreciated.

Can the Bush SD box be switched to non freesat mode? I think the answer is going to be no, but humour me anyhow

I don't own one but I'm pretty certain that it can't.

There has been conjecture, though, that there is a requirement in the freesat spec to be able to "Add Channels", so this feature may be provided via an over the air upgrade in the near future.

Interesting list , thanks.
Given that 10510 is ITVHD and has a channel no. of 2100, should we be able to go to that channel to see it?
Almost certainly, the answer will be no!

Thanks

Alan

Maybe
Of course, selecting 2100,has no affect whatsoever, you just see the numbers on screen for them to change to dashes, and no channel change,at present.

Absolutely not. Don't buy one, or its siblings. The LNB loop through is a joke - it doesn't work properly - and it will not pass RGB through from the second Scart. The "Now/Next" information is weird needing you to go to the EPG first to update it. (This just might be Freesat thing on all boxes though).

It will appear in the Non-Freesat mode, being fta,as will all the other fta channels.
Where could I find a list of 'other FTA channels'

and

Some HUMAX FREESAT boxes are sold as 'pre-tuned'. Can these be switched to the FTA channels?

Cheers

F.C.

Bob_Cat said that the next over the air update has been delayed until early this week due to testing delays.
