This was pre-announced somewhere, it's merging content with 9XM.

I guess one good thing about the recession is that its helping us get rid of some of the cr*p from our channel-lineup. Shame we dont have anything good joining Freesat to replace it.
Maybe, instead of speculating about what channels may join Freesat it would be more practical to run a book on what channel will bite the dust next.

Good point although I'm pleased Freesat allows you to just delete channels anyway. I removed all the religious tat the day after installing Freesat for example.

I wish I could rename the channels to look nicer like "BBC One" instead of "BBC1" but that's my OCD kicking in.

Yah..
Pitch TV ceases broadcasting
Shopping channel Pitch TV has ceased broadcasting on digital satellite after parent company Pitchwell Group went into liquidation.

Are the most recent removals shutdowns or just removals from the FS EPG? I do not recall them mentioned in the Sky section.

So Pitch has pitched tent from Freesat. A departure of dross cannot be loss. But I bet the Sky fan boy trolls will inevitably make such events look like Freesat's lost Armageddon.

None of these recent channel removals has been a Freesat specific thing, they have all been removed from Sky also.
