yes but this thread is updated almost immediately and more accurate..

wiki has missed out 27/08/09
Yes but David500's post didn't answer Goggled's specific query:

"Are the most recent removals shutdowns or just removals from the FS EPG? I do not recall them mentioned in the Sky section. "

whereas Wiki did. So I was just directing him to an answer to that specific question in the absence of anything else at that time.

Havent a clue about the LG but the HDR knows theres an update and asks you what you want to do.
Why do the Humax units (have 2x Foxsat-HDR and a Sat4Free rebadged Grundig HD here) tell you when the Alba units don't? The Grundig just silently nukes/adds channels just like a Sky box, the Humax basically gets in the way and tells you.

I like the fact the HDR doesnt even bother you if a channel youve removed is already taken off air so I get no pop ups for all the shopping channels going bust because they arent in my EPG anyway.

I wish theyd go further and tell you whats happened and not just tell you the number of changes.

Well, mine doesn't. It goes ahead and does the re-scan anyway. I did notice a dialog pop up briefly the last time, but it then disappeared and the rescan started.

Software might have been further altered by (well, for) S4F, in that case. Only real differences I've seen between it and an umolested box are the menu logos and lack of a postcode prompt.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is S4F?

(I have the standard .03 software that came with the box as far as I'm aware)

I would assume that it is "SatForFree". The Irish Republic's version of freesat using rebadged Grundig boxes.

See KianD's Post #253 above

No Netplay TV was previously Netplay TV no difference there it's probably just a change that won't be openly obvious like a PID change

there's only 11 pages currently. Your post #263 + original post = 264... 25 posts per page. 264 / 25 = 10.56 ie 11 pages

The DS Mods deleted at least one post from this thread on Tuesday! Perhaps they have been at it again?

I wondered what had gone, cheers Les.

Maybe room for C4HD now?

Nope, Shop On TV wasn't broadcast from Astra2D; it is a Eurobird channel I believe.

No complaints there as of 18:00 but give it time. Let's hope we get something decent (i.e., non-shopping, non-religious...) by Xmas.
