If they did can you imagine the fta rubbish that's left on Astra2/Eurobird 1 that would clutter up the epg. Not for me thank you

I agree, nearly all the good ftas channels are on it and hopefully some more will go FTA to be part of it e.g. fiver etc

No chance anytime soon. Things might start moving in late 2012 when Astra 2E is orbited.

Wait for it folks - shattering news

Radio Station 726 was called Absolute Radio Extreme it's now Absolute 80's
Well it is actually very good news for me.
Some proper music at last and very few adverts at the moment.

Just been playing that little known instrument "The Air Keyboard"

Now all we need is an 80's TV channel and thin leather ties to make a comeback !!!

I was about to cheer, but have just found out it is American.

I'll stick to tv.gusto for now.

Or news of changes to the platform!

Maybe they will show some video loops showing how to setup iPlayer for the non-tech peeps and news of new channels launching soon!

You won't see anything dodgy between 5.30am and 9.30pm - even then nothing hardcore

So I've heard

No Thanks!

I value my 20:20 vision too much!

Plus it would not fit in with my faith.

An audio loop channel has been available for a while on FTA DSAT called Freesat Info. I presume this will appear on the EPG shortly.

There's also one called Freesat Test.

FreeSat is a EPG made by BBC & ITV to help make up from the mess made with DTT ( Freeview ), with no more space given to our public TV system even after the DSO.

Freeview will not cover all the UK even after the DSO.

Freesat has the same trouble as Freeview ( NO MONEY ) put in by our Government, so no space.

FreeSat can cover all the UK, but the only satellite beam that covers is full of channels.

FreeSat is held back because channels need to have UK only beam to help with copy right issues of shows.

The Name FreeSat is owned by the BBC.

FreeSat is EPG software that allows FTA ( Free to Air ) Channels on satellite to be listed and seen with a BOX or TV that is built by companies under license.

FreeSat give the the UK regional channels from BBC, ITV, Ch4.

FreeSat is testing BBC iPlayer "beta" at this time which uses your Internet service ( 2MB and above ) to allow you to see BBC shows from BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Three, BBC four, CBBC, Cbeebies. You can pick from High or Low bandwidth.

Just put a network cable into the back of the Humax box ( SD, HD & HD PVR ) press the red button on a BBC channel and press numbers 5483, then OK and it will load the BBC iPlayer Beta.

It's hoped that ITV Player will be here soon. ( Spring )

FreeSat has one main HD channel, with EPG number ( BBC HD ), with ITV1 HD that can be seen by using the red button on time, when you are on ITV 1.

ITV1 HD is to go onto an EPG number from Spring has it goes live on freeview HD with longer hours.
