Good to see the Landscape Channel back on Showcase, I remember it from many years ago via my steerable dish.

SC2's programmes are being piped into SC1 so to speak, which is why SC1 has SC2 DOG. freesat channel 403 should be branded as SC1 with a SC1 DOG (unless there is another microchannel like Landscape or Unexplained with their own on-screen branding).

If anyone is interested todays deleted channel was 810 JML Home & DIY

I just turned on my HDR and got no offer for an update.

Looking at the channels list and highlighting channel 810 and pressing ‘OK’ displays the JLM Home & DIY channel.

Did not have the 2 new channels so did a Freesat tune which I gained the 2 and lost 1.

What I would like to know is how come you can still pick up CH 810 if you don’t retune ?

I've noticed this many times with the HDR. Even if you turn on when a change has occured, it doesn't always detect it in its startup procedures. These days, since connecting it to the internet, I now always get the error message at start about connecting etc with a fail... I wonder if this is causing an early end to the rest of the checking procedures? (and so it misses EPG channel changes...)

However, if you wait for the box to finish fully starting up (having cleared the error message) and then simply go to standby (waiting again for it to fully shutdown!) and then turn it on again, you will find that it will startup without the error message this time (if you are net connected) and the channel changes dialogue will pop up (rather than the nausea of having to do a menu driven re-scan)...

Presumably because the channel is still transmitting FTA, they have just elected not be on the epg anymore

Vintage TV added channel 515

Hi I hope someone can help with this. I am inteerested in getting my mum a satellite box. I'm in England and she in Dundee. for some reason she wants to keep watching STV even although I gave her a skybox for channels, but due to her age she cant change the cables around on the tv - not enough scart sockets. On freesat do you get STV and can you watch ITV 1 on a higher number like on sky boxes?

The quick answer to your question is "Yes" because it's post code dependant but you shouldn't be asking the question in this thread anyway as this is supposed to be solely for Freesat channel changes...
