LCN 708 changed to "BBC Radio 4 Ex".

My Panasonic has automatically updated itself but no change on my Humax (perhaps it will detect it on the next boot).

Runnning the "power cut" proof V1.00.15 Beta. I have just put it in standby and switched it back on and still had no re-scan prompts.

You won't get the prompt, V15 auto updates channel changes overnight as part of the housekeeping. Unless you manually scan it should update without you noticing overnight tonight.

Cheers Graham - I shall check in the morning.

I thought it odd that no one on the official firmware has reported the change yet (or are most of the active posters running the Beta).

Not a clue except anyone running V15 and not keeping an eye on threads like this won't know anythings changed.

Very strange! I'm still on V13 (chicken ) and just fired up the Humax in response to these recent posts. I got a big fat nothing. If relevant it was parked overnight on BBC News. EPG still showing 708 as radio 7. A second boot-up did give me re-scan and had the 1 change and 708 is now Radio 4 Xtra.

Yes I figure that as you state Radio 7 has been renamed Radio 4 extra

I had thought that the .15 Beta firmware was great for having cured the power fail situation, but the best thing about it is not being plagued by meaningless re-tunes for irritatingly minor changes.

What on earth is the reason for the above frequency change?

It's been added to Sky so it moved off Freesat's own transponder. I assume that's the reason.

To test that the .15 beta firmware works.

The radio channel name change did that , perhaps a second was required to make sure

Got a channel scan this morning on my HDR (still on the .13 firmware) when I switched on but showed zero changes, additions or deletions? Anyone else see this?

No but its usually something happening to a channel youve already deleted.

No as I am on the beta .15 firmware but thanks for confirming that the launch of CH4 HD is not today.

I notice that having the beta (.15) installed on the HDR means that when channels get added during the day in this way, unless you manually scan, you would have to wait till next day before the nightly update found it automatically... (i.e. having the beta turns OFF the auto re-scan feature on a reboot - which is a bit naff)

Still, at long last we have proper Channel 4 HD on Freesat!! (albeit on a silly channel number) Hang the flags out!

Thats a bit crap, means youd have to delete all the crap channels again.

I really hope thats fixed for the release as thats just terrible usability.

Id rather have the auto channel update turned off if it means you have to wait 24h to find it.

I think you will find that the auto update overnight works the same as saying yes to a update message on V13. It preserves your current channel line up and retains customised channels. I don't have any deleted channels but do have a different channel to the postcode entered at 101 and this is definetely retained (two earlier updates worked fine)

That's the way my feelings are leaning towards...
