I meant you have to delete your channels again after you do a manual scan because its silly to wait 24h for the box to do it automatically.

I prefer it as it is but have that combined with the auto ad as well.
Then you get the new channels asap but it will be done automatically if the box is left alone.

Even better would be how it works on the newer Sony Freeview IDTVs which is real time in the background... (if auto-update is turned on) As soon as it detects the addition/change, it's there; no waiting and no interruptions, just how it should be... Don't see why they can't do the very same on Freesat tbh...

I see why. Humax have demonstrated time and again they are not very good at getting the box to do more than one thing at once.

You can tell they do zero user testing, just let the people who make the boxes test them.

Thats why theres so many illogical things to do with the box.

They need people fresh to the box to use them and tell them what the logical way of doing things is.

The box cant even update the epg while its recording, I had a 7 hour recording going and couldnt even tell what was on 4HD tonight as the EPG was blank!

Unfair: It would appear that Humax do far more testing the Samsung.

They can be hard to spot, maybe a transponder change (could be on a radio channel) . I will have a look tommorow (I have a Foxsat-hdr on V1.00.15 that will update automatically overnight)

Its pretty annoying that it doesnt tell you what was added/changed/removed.

I'm sure you could if you had a computer with a satellite tuner - in any case, I tried to compare the listings of today and yesterday based on my FOXSAT-HDR listings, but unfortunately I unintentionally corrupted yesterday's listings.

EDIT: Wait, actually, it's today's listings I corrupted - so I CAN check! Hang on a second...

EDIT2: Actually, I think the changes to the channel list I made were just slightly more permanent than I thought - so I can't, I don't think at least.

Yeah but the box obviously knows things have changed but it just doesnt tell us and theres no reason why not.

There are a number of minor channel name changes when comparing my original list. Trouble is anyone could be the change and the others errors in my original list.

Examples Smooth Radio UK or Smooth RadioUK CBBC or CBBC Channel or NHK WORLD TV HD or NHK WORLD HD

I think one of the shopping/god/rubbish channels changed today as my box did a scan and it came up with 0/0/0.

With the new firmware we will have no alert that things have been updated so we will have to keep our eyes peeled for changes. Most of them seem to be frequency changes anyway so I won't miss them.
I think any new channels should get the new flag in the channel list until it has been watched. (similar to the new flag on unwatched recordings)
Chances of this happening ??

Barry at My Humax keeps a hdr on V1.00.13 to monitor for these changes. As long as he does this it should be possible to keep this thread updated.

Zero, Humax have proved time and time again they will only fix the major bugs, not making the box a good user experience.

Theres a new box coming out so all their manpower will go into developing that, an incredibly short sighted plan.

I think Monday's change was probably The Jewellery Channel changing PIDs, because it did just that according to Kingofsat.

Sounds highly likely to me. Nice bit of detective work

Has anyone here been able to get C4 HD using DVB pro or windows MCE?

Not sure if its my setup or me doing something wrong.

Transition of BBCHD and BBC1 HD to new frequencies (10847 V 23000 8/9 DVB-S-2 QPSK) completed overnight automatically - presumably before the housekeeping switched in.
Signal quality and strength 100%. So no problems.
