I am currently being spammed by PM by member MacLondon. Apparently he doesn't want to see nerdy details of freesat channels changing transponders. Frankly I think he's off his trolley. He has a Foxsat-HDR and clearly doesn't understand how the channel frequency and polarisation affects what other channels he can view while recording two.

It's even more important for Foxsat-hdr/HDR10x0S model owners using single cable mode.

Please post if you would like these details and I will ignore him.
That's a bit rich considering looking at his post history he's posted in the Freeview Changelog thread with posts such as this
Please remember that this thread is intended for logging changes only - http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1056344.

It is not for discussing changes or for asking/answering questions. This can be done in a separate thread or via private messages.
Anyhow I'd ignore as apart from the fact he's not exactly an active contributor as his last post was almost a year ago, there's plenty that find the information in this thread useful.
Keep up the good work Graham

Please can we keep this thread to change log trails only. I appreciate the discussion that's arose but I think we are all in agreement that Graham's contributions are very much welcome as very much contributory to Freesat EPG line-up changes.

Apologies for replying on the changelog to the recent discussion. I just wanted to clear up the point I made to grahamlthompson via private message earlier this week, specifically regarding channels moving to different transponders.

Posts about QVC Beauty etc. moving to different transponders (i.e. general satellite changes) have not until this week been logged in the Freesat changelog. Freesat boxes and Sky boxes automatically handle such transponder changes.

I do fully understand the point grahamlthompson makes that transponder moves can impact PVR multi-recording etc., just as they would impact Sky+ functionality, but there is a different weekly thread elsewhere that keep abreast of these changes. That's a very chatty thread, mind you, and I'd hate to see this thread turn into that, which is the reason I made contact via private message.

I do recognise grahamlthompson from often his helpful posts here and on AVForums, and I certainly didn't spam him as he claimed, just merely pointed out (politely) that the Freesat changelog has always been used for logging changes specific to Freesat, generally Freesat EPG changes.

I did feel that most subscribers to this thread wouldn't want a stream of notifications for every transponder move involving Freesat channels, but obviously I underestimated the level of interest in these.

So for that I'll publicly apologise to grahamlthompson, and let's end the discussion there... and hopefully bring the changelog back to logging only.

Thanks for your apology, but you misrepresent the situation.

I replied to your original PM explaining why channels switching transponders were of significance to any Freesat change log. You replied with a return stating that you were not interested so I should desist from posting such nerdy details

It's the attempt to dictate what is posted based on your personal opinion that amounts to spamming.

As you should now be able to see, these are of interest. Frankly I find your objection rather daft. If you don't want to know simply ignore them.

Not entirely sure what you mean by simply logging

Freesat users abroad will be interested in a move from one satellite to another when the move shifts the transmission to a UK Spot Beam from a former Pan European beam. Are you suggesting that this information isn't relevant here ?

If so I fail to see any point in this thread at all.

When this thread was created it did become a home for reporting changes to channels that are not on the Freesat epg at all. This often uses the same parameters and lcn's as the original transmission. I was one of those that suggested that these changes should be in a separate thread as clearly they do not impact very much on Freesat box owners.

I will be checking for changes for non-freesat and freesat channels this Thursday and will post what I find (in the appropriate threads) before I go on holiday on Friday. The next look at the transponder data will have to be two weeks later.

Please let's just leave this thread as it was, I believe, originally intended i.e. changes to the Freesat EPG (Added, Removed, Frequency, LCN and Channel Name changes etc.) and leave the non-Freesat changes to the Non-Freesat Mode Changelog and personal views/comments to other threads. That way it fulfills its function as a 'sticky' point of reference for Freesat viewers everywhere since Freesat itself cannot be relied upon to keep its own news feeds up-to-date.

408 - The Active Ch
804 - TV Warehouse+

I've just noticed these on my Foxsat HDR, so they were probably removed yesterday.

I haven't looked yet but I bet it's "True Chrms" or something completely ridiculous on the EPG!

don't know why they have decided to show Christmas films in the middle of October seems a bit silly.

1 removed (31st I think this happened): 141 - BET+1.

On Sky's platform this channel's LCN is being taken for 5*+1 so BET+1 may either re-appear at a later date on Freesat only or disappear from DSAT together.
