Yes there was a misunderstanding on my part, I thought you had made a genuine mistake, my error I should have spotted the tone of your posts before and responded to that.

But Bodders, this means no Anna!

No Brian, no Ray - actually I take your point.

Slight loophole - although Anna, Brian and Ray are all from Eire (Tom is from Northern Ireland I think), they were actually resident in Britain at the time they applied for BB.

Oh dear, no Anna would be bad. Even the loss of the other two doesn't make up for that.

Residency is probably the best criteria to use, despite my curmudgeonly-ness. It does appear there may be a big block vote for anyone Irish, which seems a little unfair but if they do live in the UK then that's fair play. I would not expect anyone non Irish to appear in the Eire version that's about to go out but hopefully they'll judge on residency too.

As to Twinkle's point, yes, diversity is good but it would be a bit silly if someone from half-way around the world could apply because they should have a closer Big Brother to them. Unless it's part of a 'world BB' which would probably be fun to watch.

Sorry I was a bit vague (it was late), I meant diverse as in age, background, culture etc which is possible by sticking to the residency rule.

Beyonsay obviously sat beside Jade in her geography lessons at school.

Considering I am several years younger than Jade that would be remarkable. Nevermind geography, you need to go back and do your maths!

Yes they did teach me a lot at school including the fact that Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland are all part of Britain. People born in Wales are British, people born in Scotland are British.

And dont roll your eyes and people when you are talking crap it makes you look really stupid

No-one misunderstood you completely.
You quite clearly stated that Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are not part of Britain.
Wrong, they are not part of England but as a whole we are all British.
When several people corrected you, you reiterated your point about Britain then chose to insult people about not understanding you, at one point shouting 'geddit'.
You were the only one who didn't get it as geographically the others were correct and you were not.

Maths is fine, just the telepathy that isn't working to tell me your age. Should have guessed though from the unintelligible comments.

At the end of the day I was right and you were all wrong but unfortunately it seems that only I am smart enough to know this. Jon Tickle and I are a class apart from you all!

Your geography is still useless if you don't know the difference between Britain and England.

I never claimed to be brilliant at geography. Anyway who needs geography for a thriving career and loads of earning potential? I will stick to medicine and neurosurgery instead and leave you to pontificate about the finer merits of geography to your hearts content!

What a narrow-minded view. A rounded knowledge of a range of subjects is pretty conducive to intelligence.

Do stick to what you're good at - whatever that is.
