last performance at the rep tonight!!
just got back, sam was fantastic as was the rest of the cast, its a good show, you can tell its a fosse style dance routine etc, loved it when she sang maybe this time, didnt realise who else was in it, any one else used to watch hollyoaks when toby mills (the seriel killer) was in it, he is in it as well,

had a great reception from the audience and was a completely full house according to the sign at the theatre, had great seats, 2nd row so could see everything (and for those who dont know about the show, if you are going with someone slightly prudish, you may want to warn them about the bit of nudity)the ending hit me as well,

wish i was seeing it again

i just posted this on wos forum:

just got back from the eveming performance at the rep as well, another full house tonight, the sign was up in the entry and couldnt see a single empty seat at all, so doesnt appear there were returns or no shows either

fantastic cast, they all worked well, both acting and musically, and i must say, despite all the negativity about sam only being 17, not able to act etc, well she certainly proved people wrong, she was fantastic, the audience loved her, and i heard several comments about no one believing she was only 17!!! and that if you didnt know otherwise you would think she was mid 20's. loved wayne sleep, and jenny logan matt zimmerman and henry luxemburg also deserve a mention, and the rest of the cast were really strong too.

i wish i was seeing the show again! the audience loved it as well, they got a great reception at the end

also apparently between the matinee show and evening show, the cast did an appearance and did a couple of songs at artsfest outside for the crowds and though i didnt see it as i was not in town in time, they apparently got a really good reception there as well

nope theres a few times, the first is after one character is caught sneaking a lover out the house, (male nudity) then there is a scene where a woman is topless, then there is the nazi scene at the end

thanks, i did, i so wanna see it again, but dont think it is coming back any where near birmingham again and for the first time, i am sooooooo glad she didnt win IDA as i think that may be better in the long term, plus sally is a bigger part than the role of nancy is, and she was so suited to the role, strange seeing her with short hair though!
