thought she was great on the royal variety - nice to see this reality show giving a good launchpad to a number of talented girls and that they have they career they want, and deserve

Saw Danielle Hope and Samantha Barks on the Royal Variety performance on iPlayer just now.
Bet some money on both of them during the BBC shows - I see that they have deleted my notorious "The Chosen One" thread on the Over The Rainbow forum..)! When Cameron Mackintosh first said that one of his auditionees (either Jessie, Samantha or Niamh) was world-class, I was sure initially that it was Samantha. Eventually she was a little outshone by one or two of Jessie's performances on the show, and since I hedged with Jessie and (sigh) Jodie, Sam leaving early didn't bust my bank account. I was so pleased to see this performance of On My Own. The power in her voice and the honesty in her performance were world-class, and I feel vindicated in originally assuming, rightly or wrongly, that the world-class comment referred to her. I dare not go back into the fanatical Over The Rainbow Danielle appreciation thread. I hope - no pun intended - that after Over The Rainbow Danielle is going to have a really successful career. There's no doubt she is a talented actress. |

And we had a very long discussion recently about your conspiracy theory. Have a read. |

Have to say that she makes a brilliant Eponine in Les Mis - a great successor to Lea Salonga

Interesting interview. Not clear on next year yet - Les Mis would be silly not to though? |

So pleased Sam is doing well. During IDA she was not one of my favourites. I preferred Jessie, Jodie and Rach, though I still thought she had a great voice. But she has improved so much. Truly amazing talent.
I saw Niamh in Mamma Mia and she has come on leaps and bounds too. Glad to see people do well through these shows
