I fear it might have a weeks break. England play the USA in a meaningless friendly that night. So unless they show the game on BBC2 or BB3. I fear that the Apprentice is going to be forced into a week off.

England vs the USA might be worth prioritising in we were playing in the European Championship finals but England didn't qualify so who cares. I expect the match will be on BBC 2.

Marty Footie never deserves to be prioritised over the Apprentice

Well SAS is a football fan - although as a fellow Spurs supporter I can't say his time in charge was particularly successful. Apparently Margaret advised him to sack Terry Venables as Spurs manager - and I though she was such a nice lady.

Well the game is confirmed as live on BBC1 on Wednesday 28th of May. We will find out Tuesday from the new listing magazines if it is switched to BBC2.

However I fear it is going off for a weeek in line with my OP.

Why on earth take off The Apprentice just to show a friendly match that counts for nothing? Not everyone likes football, why do TV companies not understand this?

Does it really matter that much if they postpone a pre-recorded show for one week?

would they not put apprentice on after footie?

They couldn't put it on after, as I think it'd put the Adrian Chiles show to about 11pm, which would not then get watched.

And football takes priority normally since it gets a huge viewership, especially in the run-up to Euro 2008 regardless of whether we qualify.

It would appear to be on Tuesday 27th (BBC 1), with "You're Fired" on BBC 2 at 10pm -- according to DigiGuide.

But England haven't qualified so the match is irrelevant - and they are playing against the USA who for obvious reasons aren't in the European Championship finals (I could maybe understand if it was Brazil, France, Germany or Argentina).

This is the sort of match for ITV2.

No, they don't, but it's not just the Apprentice. No tv shows escape rescheduling when football is on - it seems to take precedence over everything else.
