no worries - kerry ellis is an amazing singer, she makes it sound so effortless, and i'm quite upset that i haven't seen her do it live (i saw cassidy jansen, who is her standby and is also amazing).
the problem with songs from wicked, is that i believe they were originally written to suit idina menzel's voice, although i don't know if that's the case with defying gravity. it does require a bit of belting, and tbh, all the women that have played elphaba have voices that are far superior to samantha's.
