I am looking for a High Definition camcorder for my birthday and i would like a good one without paying a fortune. I don't want to pay more than £700 as this is still expensive but i know it is hard to get a good HD camcorder for much less.
I have been looking at some of the Sony HD handycam camcorders, the main one being the HDR-SR10E http://www.sony.co.uk/view/ShowProdu...ard+Disk+Drive
I know cheap HD camcorders can be found but i want a good quality one with a well known name. So far this sony one seems like my best bet.

I was just wondering if anyone has this camcorder or a similar HD camcorder and can give me some information on it.
Thanks

Or you could check out the Canon HF100. Main difference is the canon can record in 1080p rather than 1080i, and the Canon doesn't have a hard disk but only uses SD cards. However the Sony's 40GB will soon fill up so you may need some cards for that too! Check out the forums on avforums.com for reviews and info on the Canon.
