he looked like he was about to. Did one of the producers tell him not to at the last moment?

He was never gonna fire two. He was blatantly giving Micheal the chance to speak up near the end

Never. He was simply playing with golden boy.

Micheal has more lives than a Sayid.

Please do.

Because if it's the same definition as the one that's in the dictionary, I think we have a Daily Star front page on our hands.

I agree.

It was so staged, as was his "it was the first time ever in the baordroom that someone manged to change my mind" comment. Utter pap.

I think he should have fired Michael as well

I wanted Michael to go above all else, his attitude and voice really just bug me... but then again I didn't fancy him sharing the stage with Sara for YBF.. so long as he goes soon I don't mind.

Looks like Sir Alan has got it in for him at the moment, I just hope he makes a screw-up next week.

After his double firing last week he just wanted to scare them a bit and also build up a bit of tension for the audience

He pretended he was about to fire Michael...and it was edited so it looked like Michael had won a "reprieve".

All very staged.

I found the double-firing last week rather phoney as well. SAS has had plenty of of more valid opportunities to sack more than one person in the past.

I think Nick was convinced Michael was going and by the look on his face thinks SAS as lost it.

If he sacked everyone at the first opportunity the show would only last three weeks.

I don't get why everyone is so obsessed with the idea that there's some manipulation of the firings. 16 candidates, 12 weeks: some pretty basic maths dictates mostly single firings but with room for a double or two.

I thought he was going to fire Michael as well tonight and I did notice the look on Nick's face although that could have just been clever editing.

well if he really was going to fire him I don't see how Michael's pathetic cliched plea could change his mind

if you change your mind that easily Sir Al, you're not the tough cookie I thought you were

The way he fired Sara and then started to talk to Michael led me to believe that if Michael hadn't started talking when he did then he was fired.
