Right...that's it. I'm sticking my neck out. I like Claire

Lucinda is Miss Moneypenny. Claire is more Peter Clemenza (the Godfather's enforcer). Both have their uses.

I have liked her from day one.
Good sense of humour and plenty of guts and determination + commercial acumen. Those Superdrug buyers are a tough beed...trust me

I hated her to begin with, but she is getting much better. And you can't deny that she made the sales that won the task this week. Sir Alan likes her and I'm sure she'll be there till the latter stages.

Claire's had her moments, but I've never thought she was as heinous as some people would make out - that honour belongs to Helene, IMO.

Claire is very outspoken but she doesn't shirk her duties or hide behind other team members in order to save her skin.

she's grown on me - she might be mouthy but she's rarely wrong

She's a bit too "trashy" for my tastes. Not a class act.

I can't say I actually like her, but Michael has managed to oust her from my "most disliked" spot, and I didn't think anyone could do that. If I'm honest, I actually prefer her to Helene at the moment, but I think that says more about the qualities of the candidates this year, rather than that I find Claire in any way likable!

Since when did you need to be a 'class act' to succeed in business?

I didn't say "in business", I said "for my tastes". And as this show has become about personalites, and not about serious business practise, I think my opinion is valid. Ta very much.

True, although the ultimate aim presumably is for Sir Alan to choose someone he feels would do well in his business, at least for a year.

Which is why he picked Michelle over the badger? Simon over Kristina??? And is why Sophocles is STILL there?
i think this show has become over-manipulated by the producers to keep the annoying ones in. I don't think they understand that having to choose between GOOD ones would be much more agonising for Suralan and the audience alike.
Claire, to me, has a very small outlook on life (evidence for the prosecution: curry is a NICHE market??????) which is reflected in her management style and choices. And she's a cow.

She was more likeable this week, or perhaps it was just the Raef effect.

Okay, you've convinced me! I really couldn't bear Claire at the beginning but she has calmed down slightly. Also compared to Michael and Helene she is not that bad, but I wouldn't want to work anywhere near her.

I don't normally warm to Claire but she was bearable this week for once. I was surprised she let Raef make the decision about the dresses but on reflection that was probably because she knew she could pin that on him if they had lost the task. Still can't bear the voice though. She seems to slur her words together.

I hated Claire at first, she has grown on me the last few weeks but she is still way too gobby.

Agreed with the majority - she has grown on me slightly - I also thought it was good that she spoke up re being a pleasure to work with Lucinda.

That did go through my mind too.

She didn't say that at all.

What she said is that people don't generally 'go for a curry' for lunch, that when having to take into account the lunchtime market the 'traditional' pub style meal might be the better route. And I don't think she was wrong. When you go out for lunch by here the pubs are booming where the curry houses are empty...even with their lunchtime offers.

I mean lets not pretend that they did well in that task, the didn't even manage to sort themselves for a lunch sitting to see if Claire was right.

My mistook.
But she's still an arrogant, loud-mouthed empty-vesselled, short-sighted twit.

I agree, whereas someone like Jenny Chin would be as nasty and back stabbing in real life as she was on the apprentice, Claire comes across as a bit devious in order to try and win, but does seem to have a more decent hard working side to her.

I've said that often and been ranted at by the Saint Sara band.
I wasn't all that keen on Claire, but I liked her last night and she worked well with Lucinda and didn't try to undermine her - maybe because she saw that what Lucinda was doing was right.

I've always liked her. She stands up for herself, talks sense, and gets things done. I really hope she goes far!

Please tell me this comment is tongue in cheek!!!

Week one she won because Alex wasnt exactly brilliant.

Then the week she was PM again she was absolutely dire but was saved by the very late deal which was struck which I still think was a bit iffy.

How many tasks has she undermined the PM?

Yeah she is brilliant isnt she!!!

Claire did actually say curry is a niche market though

Exactly, she was trying to be girly in deference to Raef who she clearly likes. She was on her best behaviour for one reason only. She is a charmless, trashy, stupid chav.
