New Bug or Directory Corruption

With heavy heart, I have to report my first case of my Humax malfunction.
I had recorded had the first episode of Foyles War by pressing the 'Record' button 15 minutes into the show. The show correctly appeared in the playlist as 1 hour 45 minutes.
Last night I watched it.
Odlly when I stated watching, the time bar only showed 59:59 of time recorded. However, after watching an hour of the programme it continued to play.
During this 'extra time' the fast forward and rewind buttons stopped working and the time bar continued to show 59:59 until the end of the programme.
I've deleted it now but does anyone have any ideas as to cause? I'm not looking forwards to a reformat as my disk is 63% full.

I quite regularly see something similar without any adverse consequences (although I am very nervous at the moment because we had failed recordings over the weekend due to the disk filling up while we were away). I suggest you monitor the situation but I wouldn't be too concerned at this stage.

I have seen a couple of instances, stopping and restarting the playback fixed the error.......no other adverse effects noted as yet.

As for HDD full, I have deliberately let one fill up, fail a few recordings, delete a few to release space, fill up again etc etc and again no adverse effect...........yet

That is reassuring. The last time we filled the disk then shortly after corruption started; of course it could very well be coincidence or the newer versions of the software may handle the situation better.
