hmmm im starting to get over this notion of rafe winning now

even though i would like him to win

coz in the end if he doesent i will be heart broken its better to start the healing process now

i expect alot of 'he was robbed' threads though and outrage that alex beat him to the final

on a side note i wish he is flooded with job offers coz i think he has a strong advantage in sales like the card task

i hope he gets the best deal out of all the candidates

and i guess if he doesent win justice will be served as he will get more attention than the winner lol

My predictions stand at

Week 9: Michael Fired
Week 10: Claire Fired
Week 11: Raef Fired”

Is that an informed spoiler or just guesswork.

I'm pretty sure he will, tbh....I think he has a very bright future ahead of him, be it in business or the media, depending on what he wants to do. The people who do actually win get a very good job opportunity out of it, but beyond that they are seldom seen or heard of again....

Reaf has integrity and with the right training, I could imagine him being a huge asset in one of SAS's businesses. He's a one off, but very likeable...

But it's very open this year. Even the finalists are hard to predict...

I'm sorry but I won't be satisfied with Raef getting the best deals once the show's over. I want him to win the main prize and I won't accept anything less!!

I'd love to see him win, and i think he deserves to win, but I guess I'm a pragmatist at heart: the best candidate never wins this show, so I just hope Raef (and Lucinda) at least make it to the interview stage.

Well I hate to say I told you so, but......

This is the bloke who labelled the boxes of fish wrong in the first task (after shirking the responsibilty of being project manager). And then when he was PM he was drinking coffee while Simon was organising things at the laundry.

And his contribution last night was negligible.”

Aren't you the genius.

Mindblowingly clever prediction.

I'd say three week from the final isn't a bad stab. And everyone KNOWS that he shouldn't have actually gone.

But the thread was only created a few days ago so it was only relative to the remaining weeks, and he was the first one out of the remaining candidates. And rightly so, he was one of the weakest candidates left.

Well, he clearly wasn't and you are just stirring it up needlessly.

Well to be fair, I created the thread so hold my hands and say I was completely wrong!

Although I didn't foresee him getting in touch with his inner Scorsese and completely screwing up the task last night! He did deserve to go last night, I agree.

You don't agree with me. And most others

Has the public outcry eluded you?

Well lets see, SAS said that in his opinion Raef was lucky not to have been in the boardroom on more occasions and decribed him as full of hot air.
Nick Hewer said if you look behind the elegance, there isn't much more there.
But what do those two know eh? Its not as if they've been in close contact with him for the last few weeks is it
Even Adrian Chiles said most people thought he was "a tool" after his major cock-up in week one.

As for stirring it up, if that was my intention I would post my comments in the Raef supporters threads. But I have no intention of doing that. People quite rightly liked him for his persona, integrity etc. But he simply doesn't have any business acumen. This is a thread about whether or not Raef had this series sewn up. He clearly didn't. End of.

Damn right. They clearly know nothing.

And PLEASE don't tell me that it was the 'opinions' of Nick and Alan that cost Rafe his place. The BBC (British Broadcasting CRAP) pushed for it.

Nick is one to talk about elegance and not much there, all he ever does is make funny faces, Margaret pisses on him and had Mags been Rafe's chaparone, I'm sure she'd have spoken up for him.

You can't be lucky to not be in the boardroom, it means you are either on the winning team, or not to blame for being in the losing team. Double standards Sugar said as much to 'loser' Alex last week.

Please don't be a populist, it's embarrasing.

If you are seriously telling me that Michael deserves to still be in the show over Rafe then I can't very well take you seriously.

I guess I can elaborate more on why I felt Raef was gonna blow it

I happened to read last week's Time Out preview for this week's show and they said it was a big shock who got fired.

I kinda figured that Raef was the only one who got have generate that comment. I'm mega bummed that he's gone and the week after my other fav Sara went too (even if she was a bit wet)

whilst it may have been a bit harsh siralan was right about their advert, it didn't mention the product (no matter how clever the visuals)

Lucinda to win ... to be honest who cares now

Sir Alan was WRONG, the other teams advert would have made the nation collectively PUKE! Get it!

woah there...the bbc (and for that matter the production company) don't have any say in it...and just for the record, as i've said in another thread, the bbc hasn't even got hold of the tape for the final yet...before there's more cries of outrage....

Public outcry is often ill-considered. This is one of the many reasons why lynch-mobs are not thought to be a good thing.

Naive.

I'd happily see both Sophacles and Sugar lynched for this.

sure it's a shock that Raef's gone, but hardly the crime of the century

That's true - but it was so BAD that it was good. I mean if you actually saw that ad you would remember it for it's bad acting, terrible script, but you would remember that they were selling anti bacterial tissues. It's a bit like the Cillit Bang advert - in your face and bad but everyone remembers it.

The problem with artistic ads like the Guiness ones is that the product has already got to be in the public consciousness before you can get away with subtle and then you still have to have a strong message.ie A pint of Guiness is worth waiting for.

However, I'm mortified that the lovely Raef is no longer gracing our screens. Michael should have gone.

So by the same reasoning you disagree with all their decisions? Or is it more accurate to say you're upset because the person you like has been eliminated?

Source? No, don't bother. I already know you haven't got one.

Try and keep on topic. This thread is about whether or not Raef would win. He clearly wasn't going to, as was proved last night.

A populist? You mean going along with the popular opinion? But I thought you said there was a public outcry over Raef's firing ~ surely that would put me in a minority. Please try to form rational arguments, its embarrassing

Have I said that anywhere? In any thread? Michael should have gone a long time ago in my opinion but this thread isn't about him.

And you really think anyone will take you seriously making statements like the following.......

eta. I forgot to mention that although his fellow contestants reiterated how nice a bloke Raef was , they also said that he didn't have what it takes (You're Fired, BBC2 last night). No doubt you think they're all wrong as well.
