How easy is it to return a handset that is part of a upgrade package?

I was on a very old 02 tariff and have upgraded the tariff, and as my contract was up for renewal I also upgraded to a new handset.

Thing is despite thinking I would like it, I really do not like the new handset (Samsung G600) so I want to send it back and get a different one. Ive had the handset less than 24 hours.

Im a 02 online customer so I can't do this in store either, does anyone know what they do regarding exchanging the handset for another one?

no idea with 02 but with T-Mobile you get 7days to return it then once it's returned you can either upgrade right away or wait as long as you want

Er... if they wanted a store tariff - i.e. less minutes and texts for a higher monthly cost, then yes.

I did try to upgrade instore but their system wouldnt let me, something to do with banding, my contract is a online contract too.

I did try this handset out in store, and it is a nice handset, but there were a few things I didnt check which when I tried it out in store which I should have done but didnt think at the time they would be that different to my SE K800i

Im having a K850i sent out when they get the Samsung back.

Does anybody think that O2 would be flexible to allow somebody one day out of the 14 day return period to return their phone? I really didn't know about this until today. I also have insurance with O2.. Can you replace a phone with a difference model as I'm finding my O2 Orbit 2 crashing all the time?

I sent my K850i back as it was the 5th one I had had. I asked if they could send a different phone out as that one was not very reliable and they gave me a list to choose from.

If its the first time it has been sent back you may struggle for a different phone though.

If you upgrade in store, you dont get the benefit of the Distance Selling Regulations, which promise you an opportunity to return or cancel any order within 7 days of recept. Although some stores on some networks may offer similar terms, you can't guarantee it.

Define "better deal", if you're an online purchased customer, you're charged for calling 150 on T-Mobile. Or at least you used to be.

Didn't they run offers only a short while back where you go £5 / 25% ? Off published tariffs if you bought online
