Danse Macabre

Is it me or have the Apprentice suddenly started using samples of Saint-Saens' Danse Macabre in the middle of the show? It cropped up twice whilst I was watching ep 8 online here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/page/it...html?src=ip_mp.

Once around 3:50ish, and once around 18:20-30ish. Each for a second or two, before it cuts to different music. Am I going crazy, or is it what they play?
Could it be just nicked for some of the other backing music they use?
(Btw for those who are lost around now, Danse Macabre most well known today for being the Jonathan Creek theme, so you know what to listen for without having to listen to the entire 7 min piece...)

Yep, it was Danse Macabre. I noticed it myself and mentioned it to my wife at the time.

I studied it at school and I recognise it every time I hear it!

Cheers,

Thanks for that, it had been driving me crazy! Has it been present before episode 8?

No - that was the first time I had heard it on The Apprentice. You hear it quite often on various TV programmes.

Cheers,
