BT Connect 1100 phone problem

Hi there, just found this forum when researching the problem with this phone so here goes.....

This phone is one with a light on the top which flashes when the phone rings and also if the 1571 service has a message waiting. No problem when it is plugged directly into the phone socket but not when it is plugged into an ADSL microfilter - doesn't ring at all but the light will flash if there is a message. BT provided a replacement but the problem is the same.

Is it just that this phone isn't compatible with a microfilter ? And if so, is there an equivalent that is ??

Have tried a different filter, no change. Also disconnected all internal wiring but it didn't help. Also phoned BT and their answer was to send an engineer but it would be a chargeable call if the problem wasn't with the line.

Problem solved - no change at our end but all of a sudden it now works as it should through the microfilter. Of course BT will never admit if there was an error made when the line was switched to ADSL but no matter, the main thing is that it works
