Yeah, Alexa invented the whole "make me PM" tactic. She had been brought into the boardroom slightly unfairly and was called weak by Sir Alan. In response she said "I am not weak and want to prove it as PM". We all know the rest .... In a way she was unlucky to trust Syed as he was the one who ordered the 100 chickens ...

She also underwhelmed in her inability to work out what change to give customers despite a degree in economics.

The whole 'let me prove my worth by being PM' is just about the only arguement/plea/justification they have at the time at which they deploy that particular 'strategic missile' - it's an avoidance tactic - they may have tried every trick in the book to avoid being fired so far and haven't been successful, so they go for the old 'try me again and fire me if I'm no good' which, these days translates into 'stick me up there and I hope the others carry me through'.

I did feel some sympathy with Alexa; she had no reason at that time not to believe Syed when he told her he had experience running a restuarant. It was only as the series progressed that it became obvious, both to fellow contestants and to viewers, that nothing Syed said could ever be relied on.

Also, I didn't mind her using the "Make me PM" line because it was new then. It's the sheer tiredness of the ploy that makes me hate it so much now.

Alexa would have lost the task with or without Syed. They were given a budget of £2,000 and she was determined to spent it all. If it hadn't been chickens, it would have been fliers. It was a classic Apprentice trap: give them more resources than they need. And her quantities of food were too high - I forget the numbers now, but they were several times higher than the other team. Another classic Apprentice mistake, of failing to crunch the numbers.

She was nice, but I'm afraid she was rubbish too. If she had been fired instead of Karen the week before, I think Karen would have done much better on the Food task.

I think the only one who used this tactic and succeeded was Katie Hopkins. I remember when she was with Ghazal in he boardroom she said "Make me a PM again and I will win again".

The follwing task (selling to the trade) she was a PM and she led them brilliantly to victory.
