Thought it was worth having a most likeable candidate thread as a companion to most unlikeable thread here:
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...d.php?t=796791

This isn't necessarily about who you think are the best candidates, it's about the ones you like the most, for whatever reason.

So for me, it would be:

1. Raef Bjayou (series 4) - Old fashioned gent, knight in shining armour and too many entertainingly memorable moments to count!

2. Simon Smith (series 4) - The most gracious, self-deprecation, and honest candidate in the shows history, as well as being the ultimate team player. Went far to early.

3. James Max ( series 1) - Super nice guy, with the ability to laugh at himself, most notably in the home shopping task.

4. Lucinda Ledgerwood (series 4) - Calm, quirky with a low-key management style, Lucinda came in for a lot of stick from her more aggressive colleges, but has proven that you don't need to be nasty to do well.

5. Adam Hosker (series 3) - Very dogmatic candidate with a dry sense of humour that apparently went over the heads of his fellow candidates leading to his being largely ostracised by the group, bless....

With this current series featuring so many unpleasant candidates, it's worth reflecting on the fact we have had a few real gems as well I think...

5. Miriam (series1) - a really nice woman
4. James Max - everything Muttley said, really
3. Ruth Badger - I know she got up a lot of people's noses, but in the end I think she really had a soft centre
2. Raef - the legend! What a gent!
1. Sara Dhada - I'm SO in love! Sigh! Damn you, Sir Alan, for taking her away too soon.

1, Raef Bjayou: Cool never loses his head ( so far at least ) & often runs the team even if he is not team leader.

2, Syed Ahmed: A cocky git but he got out of the boardroom so may times.

3, Jo Cameron: Out of all the female candidates past & present she has to be top. Although she was lively to say the least, she could defend herself.

4, James Max: What ever task it was he gave 100% & never back stabbed.

5, Mirriam Staley: Like Lucinda in the current series, she is controled, nice & gets the job done & should of got to the semi-final instead of Pual who was useless in the shopping channel task.

My fave EVER clip from The Apprentice is of the lovely Ansell floating on his back across the screen in a spa pool after his team won the task.

Classic!

Oh damn, I forgot Saira! I'll put her in my honourable mentions.

I loved the first series and all my favourites come from there I'm afraid.

In no particular order because they were all hard but fair competent business people and ANY of them would have been a deserving winner.

Tim
Miriam
James
Paul (the whole reason why I started watching the show, with the exception of Ruth I doubt if anyone could top the charm he used to sell those flowers)

5th place - Jadine [Series 3] She went bursting into it like a bull in a china shop but over her 9 weeks she calmed down significantly. I can remember when she returned to support Simon in the final task and took him aside for some kind words of support, nice moment. Alan Sugar clearly had high regard for her too and when he fired her it was 'with regret'

4th place - Miriam [Series 1] I was outraged when she got fired in week 10.

3rd place - Natalie [Series3] She did pick on Adam a little in weeks 4 and 5 but i still found her likeable and underrated. She had some good moments in episodes 4 and 5 and once again it was 'with regret' when she got the boot.

2nd place - Raef/Lucinda [Current series] - The two nicest ones in there now, although i do like Alex and Claire despite the criticism they get. I really dislike Michael of the ones left. Helene and Lee i'm indifferent to

1st place - Kristina [Series3], Tre [Series 3], Badger [Series 2], Saira [Series 1] Sorry i'm cheating here, but its very hard to only pick 5. I liked all of these equally

Near misses for Sharon [Series 2], Adam [Series 3], Naomi [Series 3]

I also thought Simon series 3 was actually likeable...
