You're at a bar, you're about to leave, until they play your favourite song. It pulls you back in and straight onto the dance floor. What is that song?

I'm DJ-ing tonight 70-80's music. I can stretch and vary time lines if requested.

What I would like to know from you guys is, what song always gets you up and dancing? Whether you're a little merry, or totally sloshed, what song do you always go crazy about?

You may have two or three songs, however many please share them so I can pull a showstopping night tonight

Thanking you in advance xx

Goldigga by Kanye West

and for some reason "I wanna dance with somebody" by Whitney Houston always gets people dancing.

And last night quite surprisingly the Twist came on and everyone went wild

Sorry if my suggestions are a bit pap, good luck tonight, where are you doing it, is it quite a big gig? and what sort of crowd is it?

Absolutely.

For me:
Mark Ronson feat. Amy Winehouse: Valerie
Rihanna: Please Don't Stop The Music
Sam Sparro: Black And Gold
Get Far: Shining Star
Axwell: I found U
The Pigeon Detectives: Take Her Back
Take That: Never Forget

Spose it depends on the type of crowd. I can enjoy all of these though.

Those for me definately! Along with:

'Red Alert' - Basement Jaxx!
'Funk Soul Brother' - Fatboy Slim
'Smiley Faces' - Gnarls Barkley (Although from personal experience, this is quite a difficult song to dance to, you (I) tend to end up pretending you (I) know how to dance but end up just bouncing your (my) body quite awkwardly. )

There are a few more that I'll add later, can't remember at the moment.

Don't Stop Me Now - Queen. Just heard it on Radio 1, definately one that always makes me want to get up and have fun (only when drunk though!)

Love Shack - B52s works every time.

I'm sorry Getty but your very predictable choice of "Leave Right Now" by Will Young would have me heading for the doorway in double quick time
