The semi-finals

As we get nearer to week 9, who in the current line up of 'Raef, Lee, Lucinda, Alex, Helena, Alax & Claire' if they got to the semi-final would pass the dreaded interviews?

Raef, unless a major disaster happens he should get to the semi-final with ease.

Claire, Alan Sugar had a word or two for her a few weeks back & thought she was running on borrowed time but seems to be gaining loss ground. 80% chance of the semi's

Alex, Although he was not the weakest link on the last task this week I would of liked to see him under presure from Alan.
Has a good chance in the interviews but the trouble is being on the losing teams so many timescost him?

Lee, Unsure about him until a few shows ago but I like him but doubt he will get there.

Helene, Mainly in the background until this week being project manager we saw more of her. Again like Lee I do not think she will go much further.

Michael, Needs to improve big time but speaking out as he has the past couple of weeks has kept him in.
He could do well but of course a lot can happen before then.

Lucinda, I like lucinda & the fact she has been on winning sides has helped her. She could fall before the semi's

Anyway what are anyones views?

I'd like to see a lot more of Helene.

She seems to be very unpopular with most people here but the camera or editors seem to avoid showing her for the most part so it's hard to see what she's really been doing. (Everyone seems to assume it's nothing!)

Up until this week she was the best performing candidate so I'd like more material to determine the truth.

I agree that the editors favour the likes of Claire, Raef, Alex & the hip cups of Michael.
The only thing I can recall of Helena before she was project manager was a row with Lucinda.
Lets remember we only see 60 minutes & nearly half that is in the boardroom.
I would lie to see the saturday repeat show give extra footage.

I think that out of all of those people Helene would probably do best in the interviews. I'd like to say Raef too but unfortunately he seems the exact type of person that they usually pick on.

You are probably right. I think that Alex and Helene would do best in the interviews. They have good CV’s and they defend themselves very well.

Lee is likeable and is usually perceived as honest. His only problem is his temper but I don't think we will see his aggressive side in the interviews. Lee actually reminds me of Ansell but he is very aggressive)

Claire is fun and I think she can do very well if she is in a good mood.

Raef will suffer for many reasons:
1- He is the kind of person you grow to like with time rather than instantly warm to him.
2- He is an "entrepreneur, manages his company from his home (Remember Tre last year!!!).
3- He says in his CV “I faced death many times” and “I have the charisma and cross-the-board appeal needed to win”. True but I don’t think it will go very well with interviewers.

I agree with those two points.....the second one especially. But that's fine, he actually needs the job less than any of the other candidates anyway, one would think. I just hope he makes it till near the end as I think the show will suffer if he goes out the next week or two.

Sadly I have to agree. From what we've seen from the show these two are both very lazy sly and aggressive. However, they are probably the type of people who do well in interviews. Unless the show starts showing them in a kinder light soon if either of them win then they will be seen as the type of Manager (and we've all worked under one) who talks the talk but cannot do the walk.

But surely if Helene had made a spectacular contribution to a task they'd have shown us?

She's been project manager twice, and on both occasions she's proved pretty useless.

Her main contribution as project manager seems to be her ability to appoint scapegoats she can blame if anything goes wrong. (i.e. Lucinda in the photography task and Michael/Sara in the wedding dress task).

I doubt Raef will make it to the interviews, much as I like him.

Tre last year was loud mouthed and lived in a dream world (still had a soft spot for him, lol ) ... he was an easy target at the interviews as he could not back his claims up ... Raef on the other hand probaly can and that is the difference

The way the interviews and Boardroom was edited last year did Tre no favours to be fair to him.

The Candidates that have had to fight tooth and nail for Jobs and Promotions in the past will fair better, i think Alex and Lee would have a good chance if they get to that stage.

Lucinda could be a dark Horse the win this week im sure will give her confidence to push on, Raef im sure will prep well if he gets to the Interviews.

As for Helene and Claire they will ahev to be careful how they come across Helene good grasp of numbers will put her in a good postion with some and Claire passions and Killer instinct with others.

As for Micheal if they have the same soft spot SAS as for him he will wealk it but i hope he dont gte past next week tbh

It would be good with 4 remaining candidates instead of just the normal 2.

So another one bites the dust & an early goodbye to Raef so what now & how is your favoute to reach the Semi's?

Alex, Not a great PM on this occastion but stuck with the brand which stood out even if it was dreadful.

Lucinda, Tried to air her views but got nowhere & did get a bit anoying.

Lee, Poor presentation might have cost him in alosing team. Needs to improve.

Claire, Well what can one say about her. Shhould of been in Raefs & Michaels faces a bit.

Michael, Talk about cats having nine lives he must twice that. Will be intresting if he is paired with Claire & Helene.

Helene, Still not seen enough of her to make a judgement.

If what the Mirror article is true then it will be interesting to see who the semi-finalists bring back to help them. In previous series the teams have virtually picked themselves but, with this lot they've all been so sly and manipulative I doubt if they could really trust any of their former rivals to help them win the ultimate prize.
