How do I connect surround sound to my LCD TV?
Hi,
I have a Technika LCD19DVDID-208. It is an HD LCD TV with built in DVD player but it doesn't seem to have a headphone jack. Does anyone know if there is any other way to connect my surround sound to this TV? The jacks at the back are: HDMI, VGA, Scart, S-Video, Y, Pr, Pb, VGA Audio, YPbPr/S-Video Audio, RF In. As far as I can see, there is no output jack for this TV at all but it seems really odd. Just thought I'd check if I'm missing something obvious before I return it. Thanks very much for any help anyone can offer. |

Remember that Scart can work both ways. Does the manual specify what comes out of the Scart? Some TVs allow you to set it in the menus.
Try a Scart to phono cable (making sure its Scart OUT not IN) and connect the phonos to your amp. Optical or Coaxial would be better but at least this might give you some sort of surround. regards Brian |
