Hi everyone, I moved house a couple of months ago and still haven't gotten around to sending my Provisional Driving Licence off for the change of address. Thing is, I have my test booked now for mid July and am wondering if this is going to cause a problem.
If I sent it off now, would I get my new one in time for the test?
If I left it as is, will it cause problems with my details :-/

I'd appreciate any input on this, has anyone had a similar situation?

Thanks in advance.

Seems straightforward enough to change your address online.

Talks of a 10 working day turnround.

Excellent. I thought you could only do it via post after reading the back of my paper counterpart. Didn't realise it would be that fast either.
Thanks for the answers and the link guys

Just to say it wouldn't affect your test if you didn't change. When you ring the DSA they actually update there records. But yeah just to echo what everyone else said, it's be back way before july.

I was in the same situation when i came to take my theory test.

They made me fill the form in there and kept my licence and sent it off for me.

Apparently if your address is incorrect (or doesn't match what is on the test booking) the test centre are within their rights to cancel your test.

When you change it is quick enough to get your licence back so do it straight away.

You've basically left it too late.

To get the address changed you have to send the old ones back first...

Is your instructor likely to care if your address is not up to date? As long as it's sorted by the time you take your test (I would imagine that's months away, minimum?) you should be okay.

Only postal applications.

If you're eligible for online address change they just post the new one out to you.

Ah, my mistake.

I haven't done it for a few years; last time I did it I remember they insisted on me sending the old photocard back first (otherwise it'd be charged as a lost licence). I seem to remember that I actually had to fill out the new address on the paper counterpart of the old licence.

Any of the scam sites which come up as adverts if you search online.
