ok i have been rooting for Jodie since day one. is she likely to win as i am soooo scared each week.

please dont post based on who you want to win just on how you think Jodie will do honestly???

Jodie has not been in the bottom 2 for a good reason she is the most consistant performer in the show. She is very popular as the poles on here and the public vote shows every week.

All I can say is that up to now, she hasn't been in the bottom two. That tends to indicate that she is indeed popular with the public.

Whether she is more popular than Sam and Jessie (who also haven't been in sing off) remains to be seen.

I would think that she is more popular than Rachel and Niamh who have been in the bottom two.

yeah i am always really confused as shes always in the bottom half on the odds. the odds all seem against her but the public are all for her. im soo confused. r the betting usually correct??

At the end of the day, the bookies don't really know any more than us. They can only guess.

She's not been in the bottom two yet, so Jodie could be getting the most votes out of everyone, or she could be 3rd bottom and just missing it every week for all we know.

The best thing for Jodie fans now is to give her an extra vote next week to get her to the final, then blitz the phone in the final to get her the win.

Well if we went by the odds she'd already of gone. Odds are made up of people betting and since the vast majority of the viewing population actually don't bet then it can be very inaccurate.

The voters in these kind of shows are inevitably woman so I should imagine that she stands a very good chance of winning.
She seems very nice and she can obviously sing, but I don't see her as Nancy ( I feel her image is too matronly and mature, it's the same annoyance I feel when they cast older actors and actresses in Jane Austen or Bronte dramatisations, though they don't do this so much any more)

Very good point - I hadn't thought of it like that. I haven't bet on anything since Emily Davidson spoiled the Derby by throwing herself under the King's horse but I really want Jodie to win.

The trouble is, I can't judge how popular she is other than on this forum, because I hardly know anybody who watches the show! Which was very frustrating last week as I was out of the country and honestly couldn't think who I could call to ask what happened...

Yeah, I think it's safe to say she is very popular. I reckon Jodie will either win or take second.

When I first saw Jodie's audition, I said to my sister 'they won't let her through to the live shows - the public will love her personality too much and she'll win'. Personally, I', fine with that, but ALW and CM won't be, but I may be about to be proved (for the first time ever, whoop!) right! But, I think if she does, it won't solely be on personality, but the whole package of her - great voice, warm personality, great image. And she reminds me most of Nancy of the remaining contestants.

I think that Cameron and AWL realise that its bums on seats that make it a success so no matter how they personally feel, if the public like them they will go see them if they dont they wont..........the people to lose out will be Cameron. People look at all the girls and fit them into Nancy boxes in their heads. What they would expect to see as Nancy. Jodie hits all the markers..........thats why she is so popular....she had never let the audience down she has delivered every song...good or crap. She is consistant and bubbly and the audience will enjoy the journey she goes through at each performance.

She's not my fave, but she must be popular as she has made it to the last 4 and hasnt been in the bottom 2

I hope Jodie is as popular with the general public as she appears to be on here, on the website I work for and amongst the people I personally know who watch the show. If this is the case then is assured a massive victory...

...but we still need to ensure she is voted for to get that victory (I don't know the results of this weeks show, so I bloody hope she ain't out this week )

I'm not her greatest fan but oh boy I'd million times rather go and see her if and when I see Oliver than Sam.

I'll be booking a seat for when the understudy's on if Sam wins.

I see Sam as a good pop singer......her lower vocal range is weak...and her look of emotion always looks like anger.

She's nowhere near what a great MUSICAL star should be. I could in fact tolerate her lack of vocal range to some extent...it's her gurning that puts me off more than anything.

It might well be Jodie going all the way on the public vote....and she'd deserve to win if that's the case and she remains consistent.

jodie is my fav id love her to win and im keepin everything crossed that she does,she is a fantastic person to know and u couldnt wish to meet a nicer person in life,jodie gets my vote or should i say votes every week without a doubt

Jodie has inherited Sarah's DS fan base as an anti ALW vote. She has been getting through due to ok performances...her popularity on here is exaggerated.

Not sure she's popular for the right reasons.

I think her star may be waning though.
I'm pretty sure that Sam will win the way things are going.

Jodie's great but she gets some votes for "sympathy/ empathy" and some votes for chutzpah.

Things can be fixed to put girls in a more or less favourable light. I expect her to get lots of votes but it's between her and Sam for the final 2. I just don't know the outcome but I'm thinking Sam due to the way the wind is currently blowing.
