RGB Darkness
gooner1
02-08-2003
Hi. Can anyone out there help me with this one. I have a Philips 28inch t.v. Scart 1 being RGB Which is what i use for my multiregional DVD player and i get fantastic pictures. But the problem is when i try to use it with the Playstation 2 connected with a newly purchased Blaze scart cable i get a very dark picture. I have heard of Philips and Sony equipment not getting on together very well. But this seems a little strange as i get fab resolution but no matter how much i try to lighten the picture its still too dark to play. Now the annoying thing is i have a 10 year old Tatung with rgb scart and the picture is stunning on that but its not what i want to use. So it does rather indicate that Philips and Sony dont mix too well. If anyone out there has had a similar problem and knows of a fix could you please let me know.
Thanks. Mark.

Could be many reasons for this.

First been Only scart 1 on your TV will support RGB

next been Blaze make crap stuff

and also, the PS2 does NOT support RGB while watching DVD's.

"the PS2 does NOT support RGB while watching DVD's"

It sure does you just need something like dvdregion x and a
proper rgb cable btw the ps1cable works fine and is very cheap.
