Hitachi CRT noise problem
Hi,
I have a Hitachi Widescreen CRT TV which works fine mostly. The problem I have is a low buzzing noise when bright images are shown on the screen. Normally the sound is OK but when I display the guide on my Humax 9200T PVR I get the buzzing sound. The bright graphics on Sky News also make the problem worse. I've tried different Scart leads with no change. The buzzing sound is there even when I mute the sound. I've changed it so that I use AV2 rather than AV1 as the problem is less pronounced then (still annoying though). Any suggestions as to how I can improve the situation? |

Sounds like noise from the flyback transformer, which I doubt you will be able to do much about - your local TV engineer may be able to do something to help you, although how cost effective that would be.......

Thanks FC!
I've already had it fixed twice when it used to go into standby after being on for 10 seconds so I won't be paying any more to get it fixed. Looks like I'll have to get a HDTV earlier than I wanted. |
